Coating Inside Tank Stripping?

Hey guys, I'm brand new to this forum.

I've been using an AeroTank for a few months. I broke the original take while I had it all apart and opted to buy one off eBay. The tank is exactly the same, only it's a deep indigo color. I've been using it for a few weeks with a dark liquid and I'm just now noticing that whatever was used inside is sort of rubbing off; there's clear spots all over the inside. It's probably just karma for buying a cheap Chinese replacement tank, but it sucks because I've probably been inhaling whatever's in that coating for the last two weeks.

Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Cheap parts from China, you get what you pay for really. Welcome to the forum!

In general, all colored tanks are color coated, not colored glass (even authentic Kanger tanks). That is why they are so inexpensive.

The original and replica are made in China, so I don't really see why there would be much of a difference. The juice probably just ate through/dissolved the coating. I wouldn't use it...
