I read this somewhere several months ago,it may even have been here on the forum somewhere but I haven't seen any mention of it again.
I know a lot of people use hot or boiling water as a part of cleaning their coils.
Ever since I read about it it is the way I always clean mine.

I just put a clean filter in my coffee maker and run several pots of water over them.
The water gets deep enough in the filter to completely cover the coils but it is also dripping into the pot.
So you basically get a constant flow of super hot water flowing over the coils.
Just empty the pot and put more water in to keep the process going as long as you like.
Works great.

That actually sounds like a good idea. What I do is just fill a coffee/tea cup about 1/3rd of the way (I don't need a lot of water to immerse an atomizer), microwave it for about 80 seconds (this little amount of water will be boiling pretty hot by then), then I take the cup out, drop the atomizer in and let it soak for 10 minutes.

The coffee pot works great... I soak my new RDAs and used coils in warm water with dish soap and a little vinegar for a couple hours. Then I put them in a coffee filter and "brew" them 2 or 3 times. I let them sit to air dry, and they are good to go. The coils are like new, and the RBAs never have even a hint of that foul machine oil taste that I'm sure most of us have run into, spoiling our new RBA experience.

If y'all didn't know the base for a Kanger T3s/MT3s or EVOD is 510 threaded, the threads that a Kanger coil screws into.

I just use a base like that to clean anything 510 threaded in a small pan of simmering water. It keeps the 510 device upright and gets a real percolation action going through the device. (Of course it can be used with Kanger coils too.) The Kanger base used like that pushes the "coffee pot" percolation effect to the max.
