I am using a long wick coil for 1.8ohm cartomizer. The coil is changeable. The problem I am having is, after a couple of fillings, the coil starts to turn a brown color, and so does the juice that I am using.

Am I doing something wrong? I have only been using this coil/atomizer for about a week. It started burning today. This is the second one I have gone through, in two weeks.

The hardware is an eGo C upgrade with a 1000 variable voltage battery, and a 2.4ml Cartomizer...kinda looks like the Kanga.. I can link to a picture if necessary.

Thank you in advance for advice.

Maintenance!

You need to at least rinse them under hot tap water after a few tanks full for best performance, better yet throw them in a bowl of distilled water after the hot tap water rinse. Take them out and let'em air dry on a towel or papertowel.

If your wick is silica you can dry burn it.....attach just the atomizer head and base (not the part that holds liquid) to your battery and power your battery on and off in short bursts, like 4-5 seconds each.......blow on the wick in between.....it should soon begin to glow orange brightly, and smoke off the GUNK on your coils......once all the coils are glowing orange its clean.

ONLY DRY BURN if rinsing it off doesn't help.
