Per Steam Engine... no, not a very logical build. At 50 watts with 24 gauge dual parallel coils for 0.4Ω... your heat flux will be a cool 138 mW/mm2.

Although heat flux is extremely subjective... you'd be better off with a single 24 gauge coil, then reduce wattage until you get a desirable temperature, or... use thinner wire (like 26 thru 28 gauge) for you dual parallel build, along with about 40 watts output... then adjust wattage up or down to obtain desired heat flux.

First you start with single coil.

And thinner gauge, like 28 gauge.

I use a 2.4mm ID screwdriver, 6/7 wraps of 26 guage on each coil. Comes out to .38 - .40.

Have you checked the coil sub forum to get some ideas? Also, have you reviewed Ohm's law and Watt's law? Both will help you understand what you want to accomplish. State O'Flux has the links to Steam Engine in his sig which is a great tool to do "what if's" before you even put your hands on the wire to make a coil. Always a good idea to have some information before hand to avert a disaster.

maybe its a good idea to wtach some videos and read a little, if you dont get it. Also gets a ohms/multi meter, so you can mess around makinh coils.

Also what kind of battery you got in your Sig50
