Coil building question

Mvp is taking 2 long to arrive and I wanna recoil.
If i take 2 inches of 30, wrap it around 2 mm post, am I safe for 1.4 ohm?
Or is it too dangerous without an ohm meter?

It'll be going into a nautilus coil

Calculators and your buddies can tell you what a coil in an atty SHOULD be. An ohm meter will tell you what a coil in an atty IS.

How much do you trust that everything , the build, the atty, the install, etc. is correct? Did you get the coil in correctly with no shorts?

Using a stanley screwdriver 3mm, 30 kanthal, getting 9.3 ohms.

I can say a 8 wrap micro coil around a 1/16 drill bit and with 30 guage ohms at 1.8 about everything time.

You prob can't fit too much larger then a 5/64 in a naut coil.

It's weird. Resistance kept changing. After the dryburning, wicking and many many squeezes, ended up at 2.2.
Not practical in an rda. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.
Time to retry!

When I hold a multimeter to the posts, the resistance will change a bit and go up and down, before eventually settling at a number. The resistance seems to also change after squeezing the coils together so I wouldn't worry to much about it varying a bit.
