Yes, it is really easy to wrap a coil on, I have a half dozen or so KF/clones, used it on all. Your Provari will show a shorted atomizer below a certain ohms, so it'll take a bunch of wraps with 25g wire. Recommend 29 or 30g for a coil that'll work with your combo.

Thanks a lot - and this is good with organic cotton right??

I must be the only one around that can't master the coiler. I end up with better coils and less mess with my drill bit. I've watched the video and still can't get a decent coil. I may end up PIF'ing the thing.

Well, as jif said, do what works for you. Here's a video I made, technique a little different. As described in the post, I hold the wire to where it slides across the "beam" of the gizmo and as it coils, the wraps push the previous wraps of the coil (and the mandrel) outward. That is how the picture on the manufacturer's website showed, and they pretty much have to touch each other. They make 30 wrap coils for jewelry, seems like a waste of time to me . . . :)

These days, I hold the wire with needle nose to get better tension on the coil.

You definitely need to add a screw or better a wing nut to fix the wire. Otherwise it's really easy to use, and allows for more tension while coiling.

The smaller wires are 1mm and 1.55mm so I also bought 2mm and 2.5mm tempered steel wire / piano wire to bend my own slightly thicker bits, but haven't managed to bend them into the right shape yet.

Thanks Flavored for posting this video. I haven't been using the post, but, I sure will from now on.

I've been thinking about a way to make coils with this with out having to hold the spool of wire. I was thinking about taking a fishing reel and mounting the spool of wire to it, it should screw right to it or maybe some minor modification may be needed. Then setting the drag on the reel to where it would keep wire taunt but still allow it to be coiled on to the gizmo.Mount the reel to a piece of wood along with the gizmo as well maybe. When I get some free time I'm going to try this and see how it goes ,just wanted to put out there here to see what some of the great minds on here think .

Some guys have made some pretty elaborate contraptions to wind coils and hold the wire. I think bills magic vapor made a really intense setup for tensioned micro coils. One guy did use a fishing reel too.

These setups are somewhere in the micro coil thread in Rebuildable atomizers / coil builds but there's quite a few posts in there (nearly 12k) so one would have to be patient searching :)

super_X_drifter & kbalz I got you covered and the links are below. I would rather you start building that bad boy than searching through almost now 12,000 posts :)

Just picked one of these up at Michaels while grabbing a bead reamer set for some airhole adjustments. Got a particularly surprised look from the girl at the counter - a 6ft 3 guy buying pink handled beadmaking tools

Hmm, a bead reamer, now that's a tool I don't have. How's that working out for ya on the airholes or coil posts holes?
