I bought a 5-pack of PT2 heads yesterday that were 2.2 ohms. Popped it on my MVP 2.0 and it read 2.3 ohms; 'bout normal...

Well earlier today i did a resistance check and it showed 2.5 ohms. Did it just now and its consistently reading 2.6 ohms now.

I feel like my juice is turning my coil head into the Hulk haha. But in all seriousness..i keep having to bump up the power on my mod to get a good vape. Is this normal for coils to do that?

Yes...it is very normal with factory made coils. I don't have a mod or a PV that gives me OHM readings, but I can always tell because I will notice that I have to crank up the voltage sometimes even though I am usually able to vape at certain voltages consistently. For example, I can always vape Juice A with 2.2 ohms at 4.1 volts. Oh no, the coil needs changed. Pop in a new coil, and in order to get the same satisfaction I previously had, I may have to turn up the voltage even though the coil was supposedly the same ohms.

You will get more responses here that encourage you to get into rebuilding coils to get a good consistent vape. I gave a good effort at this, and failed miserably. Probably because my eyesight is too poor to work with small parts like that. But you may have a knack for it, who knows?

That is why I gave up on Protanks. The factory coils suck and I can't go more than 4.2 or 4.3 without getting a burnt taste. On a 2.2, which is the lowest my BMs carry, that is barely 8 watts. As for rebuilding, a KFL or KFL clone is waaaay easier to rebuild than a Protank as there is more room to work with. But if you stick to PT and its hard to see for a rebuild you can get one of these. I have one and it helps big time

Having the same problem with the replacement coils. Going to try building a micro coil sometime soon, also saving up for a kayfun/russian clone so I can start getting these great hits everyone is talking about! :0) Good luck, let me know if you try building in the PT i'd be eager to see how a first timer finds it to be.
