I cant remember the last time i had to replace a coil due to failure.... I also don't go thinner than 30 gauge.
400 SS wick suits the need of my juice (50/50).

-Rinse with water
-dry burn
-brush off crud
-rinse again
-dry burn to get rid of water
-good as new!
I use the same method, and have had the same results. However, I do find that after a coil is a few weeks old it doesn't hit as well as a fresh one, so I've started recoiling every couple of weeks.

that might be true, i end up recoiling out of boredom, just for the sake of trying something different.

LOL this^^
Usually about every other night I am screwing with it just because I get bored if I don't. Last night I sat on the couch and fully enjoyed my vape- but I missed tinkering so- oops. Broke the coil.

no idea... like several of the above posters, i've never actually had a good coil fail on me. i usually re-build just because i'm bored and either want to try something new or just kill a few minutes. a regular dry-burn and a soak in vodka has always kept my wicks and coils good as new.
agreed ill pull the wick when its stops performing, quickly burn it and toss it in a jar with alc where it sits while i pull a different one thats been soaking and keep going, i dont think i have ever had a coil fail, more like broke it dirkin around to much.
