Hello i keep reading this whole thing about what volts are good for what ohm coils.
Just read
  • 1.7-1.9 Ohm coil - 3.1-3.4V (green setting on our eGo compatible batteries)
  • 2.1-2.3 Ohm coil - 3.5-3.8V (blue setting on our eGo compatible batteries)

Other charts say no effect at this ohm coil -volts or burning short circuit at these volts etc.

I tried one e liquid on a 1.8 ohm coil at 3.4 volts and not much effect then I went to 4.0 volts and it was good.

Are any of these suggestions accurate ?
Currently using bvc 1.8 ohm and dialling between 3.7-4.1 volts and its good.

Getting some bvc 2.1 ohm for someone with an ego non vv battery. read they are around 3.7 volts .

Will a 2.1 ohm coil be any good at 3.7 v or should i give them a vv battery or does it depend on the liquid.

Not after perfect results but adequate rsults.

Thank you.

Quite honestly I know of two effects myself futzing with volts: it's burned, or it isn't.

It does depend on the liquid with watts, but that isn't what you asked. :)

I ran 2.1 coils on a static 3.7 eGo for a long time before I got my MVP. Like 3 whole days. Seriously, just go with a VV if you think they'll notice. Again, I notice hardly any change. I get good vapes, then a bad one on lower volts, and I get good vapes then a bad one on higher volts.

Sometimes I wonder if VV is just a gimmick.

Just go with this general rule... With any resistance just add 2. 1.8 ohm add 2 and you get the voltage of 3.8v. From there, fire and see the results. If it's not good, then bump it up. If it's too much, go back down. Find your sweet spot. Those recommended levels of voltage as you have seen are generally the power that would make the coils last the longest since it's not being 'used' as much as a higher voltage/wattage.

Whatever works for you, then do it. Just keep in mind the higher the voltage - the less life a coil will have due to usage.

I can taste a difference, but it took me a very long time. I smoked for many years and my taste buds and sense of smell were/are trashed. I still can't taste subtle flavors and doubt I ever will.

With a limited ability to taste, a change in power didn't make that much difference, but over time that has changed. There is only one juice I really like and it has some complexity: at least 2 different mints, cinnamon, menthol and I'm not sure what else. Not only do different flavor notes come out at different temperatures, the flavor changes depending on the device it's in.

About roughly 11/12 watts I taste mostly menthol, but a few watts down and the flavors are more mixed. This is in an RTA with a 1.5Ω coil. In the Reo (the resistance is probably around 1.3) it tastes sweet; in another device it's muted and in another very minty. In BCC glassos I rarely go over 9 watts, but with BF RDAs I keep building lower, since I like it really hot. I could keep going on, when you only vape one juice the changes are quite noticeable - anyway, give it time.

A friend told me about it, and she gets it from Mt Baker. My local B&M had the recipe, though - so I imagine a lot of them can/do make it (and probably call it all sorts of stuff). It's almost exactly what you said. Cinnamon, menthol, some other kind of mint. Seriously intense and sweet. Also one of the worst tank killers there is, from what I've been told. The shop said it instantly shatters poly tanks. I had to buy my first glass tank before they'd even sell me the stuff.

Sounds quite similar. My also does serious damage to anything with an acrylic component. Including paint.

Are are a couple of victims:
