coils and ohmage

I am running a plume veil drip tank with two kanthal a-1 coils and organic cotton and I'm not sure how ohms work along with resistance ...

Does higher ohms mean more heat being produced?

Does higher resistance mean the coils get hotter or that it is getting cooler? In other words does higher resistance restrict the electrical current itself or the amount of heat its giving off?

Lower ohms will pull more amps. This is where battery safety comes into play.
