Ok so after dabbeling with my 6 strand twisted wire I decided to play with a different idea - oxidizing 1 half of my mesh (the part touching the coil). Now here's where things get goofy - So I oxidized HALF of the mesh and the other half unoxidized is sitting in my juice. I seem to be getting a faint metallic taste on my Mint liquid.

---5 Minutes Later---

The metallic taste has gone away - either that or my liquid has just overpowered it.

Also noticed that I built my coil - fired it and it read .9 Ohms. After clipping the wire and installing my wick - back to 1.0 Ohms. What the hell is going on? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also the reason I'm going for the lower Ohms is if I understand this right, according to my device, lower resistance = lower voltage which would then in turn = longer battery life? Unless I misunderstood the whole Ohms law thing.

Just my humble opinion, but a 'seasoned' wick, with some oxidation works better.

Mesh is woven fine wire. It warps, and stuff, as you work with it.

I have found that some torching, of all of the mesh, before and after rolling, works the best. Followed by some juice burns. The wick will wick better this way.

I can get a 'raw' mesh to pulse oxidize with the coil, and light up fine. But the first tank tastes like dog kisses, or my mother's Lenten tuna casserole. Since my ADV is a bit of a 'coil-gunker' anyway, by the time I get thru that first tank, it's time to either clean and dry-burn my coil, or just start afresh, and recoil.

I have found that if you start off with a well-seasoned wick, that your vape will be really nice n tasty, right out of the gate :D

ok, I'll get it figured out. I scrapped the low Ohm coils anyways. No reason to continue shooting for crazy low Ohms. I'f I decide I want to retry low Ohms, I'll need to get a few more items first. I essentially went back to my 2.0 - 2.5 Ohm builds anyway. I like the flavor better around those areas. 4.0-4.5V is plenty for me. The taste is pretty crisp and the vapor and throat hit are on point. I didn't really like the high flux in Ohms. It made me think that something was terribly wrong from the get go.
