So I've only been vaping for about 10 days now and already have gone through 4 Q2 0.4ohm dual coils. I have done some research and i tried poking small holes in them, changing my inhale technique and nothing works, they still burn out very quick. I noticed alot of people have problems with SMOK coils in general, so I'm curious what other brand coils would fit with this tank. Just looking for a little bit more durability. Not expecting any coils to last a month but surely would think there has to be some that last longer than 2 days. Thankyou guys for reading this post! This forum sure has inhanced my vaping experience and I must admit I would be lost without the amazing support from you all.

What wattage are you using and juice? There are numerous reports on the lack of QC with Smok coils. They are cranking out so many new devices and coils to support them, so quality suffers.
Yea I heard the same exact thing and unfortunately have been experiencing it first hand. I vape between 40 and 70 watts, and the juice I use is “ice cold fizzy lemonade” 70/30 Vg/Pg. I’ve been trying to find a thread about other coils I could use with this tank but I’m coming up empty.
As a wick and wire guy I sometimes wonder if maybe it would be easier if maybe I took up using a drop in coil system. Then I run into threads like this one.
I'm a drop in, but have a russian 91 and a new ares. When my supply of coils get low, I might look to building.
Ack.. I know there are lists available, and hopefully someone will be along with one. I've seen them and tried searching, but came up empty. I don't use smok products so I've never saved any of the lists, just seen them in passing. They do exist however, and hopefully someone can supply you with some options. IDK why some folks seem to get great life out of smok coils and others don't, but I'd have to think (if it's not a set of poor QC coils) it would have to be type of juice vaped, wattage levels, airflow, whether you are chainvaping or not (really really cuts down on coil life in my opinion, I have been surprised at my coil life now that I spread out my vapes over many setups, when I chainvape, cuts down on heat, which really does matter for coil longevity).

Thankyou very much, You've been a big help for me lately. I just spent about a good 30 minutes looking for such list and I finally came up with one!! Actually there is quite a few compatible coils which is encouraging considering my bad luck with SMOK thusfar.
They are a lot of compatible coils, but the Q2 coils are pretty good, you shouldn't be burning them that quick. I get a week or two out of mine at 55 watts ,70/30 juice. Unless you're a heavy vapor and going thru mucho juice. Which I don't see since you just started vaping.
Here it is.
If your tank uses the coil in a category, you can use any other coil in that category.
i.e. SMOK Baby Beast uses TFV8 Baby coils, therefore it is compatible with any other coil in the "small" category.
Note! The coil picks are based on using the coil in the manufacturer recommended ranges. Please be sure to buy a coil that is optimal for your preferred range (ie NRG GT4 @50W, NRG GT6 @70W).

If my memory serves me right, the Big Baby uses the same coils as the Baby Beast. In which case, I would recommend giving the NRG coils a shot. Just the other day I tried this and it feels like I got myself a brand new tank. The coils seem literally to wick twice as well.
