I'm at my wit's end.

I've been using Kangertech T3S BCC tankes for a while now with an eGo Upgrade battery. It has honestly been the best | have ever tried. But even before my tank is empty, the performance of it goes down. Even to the point where it doesn't vape AT ALL anymore. I have gone through so many tanks, coils, fluids.. when I replaced the coil, it works great again, temporarily.

Why can I only have one tank of good vape before my $6 tank is garbage? What am I doing wrong? I am at my wit's end, because at this rate I will have to stop it altogether. I still cannot get a reliable vape. :(

I literally have 7 useless tanks here that I used for 1-2 fills before they went complete useless (no vape at all, even after switching coils between each other). I can't vape like this. I can't be replacing the coils every day!

Help?

That's why people end up with rebuildables.

I have a similar tank & mine does the same. It holds about 2.5 ml of e-juice & no matter which kind, the coil often needs changing. Getting to the point that I'm avoiding using it.

However, these KangerTech EVOD tanks are great & Free Shipping! Try the code "2OFF" that I received from them for $2 off purchase, I can't guarantee it'll work, but it may. For $7.96, it's a great tank & Genuine product, I have two of them & has never given troubles.

http://www.vaporbeast.com/kanger-evod-clearomizer-tank.html

EDIT: Tried the code, it didn't work, it was for e-juice only. Still it's a good deal, some sites may sell it for less but charge shipping, which negates any savings.

If you're using a tank there's different reasons that could be giving you problems.

Higher VG liquids and dark liquids shorten the life of a coil and gunks up coils and the wicks with kangers.

When replacing coils you need to let your coil sit in your tank with juice for at least 5-10 mins, before use.

Don't run your tank below 1/3 or 1/4 to prolong your coil's life.

Are you chain vaping? Since the coils need time to wick and might not have enough time to wick fast enough especially higher VG blends or 100 VG juices.

Another thing is lower resistance coils don't last as long with non-rebuildables, and don't last as long at higher watts or voltage settings.

Last Kanger coils don't have the best quality control, I've had many not work the first vape and had some last hours or days and occasionally a week or 2. Some of the newer models with dual coils may be better made, but I'm not looking to find out myself.

My distributor tells me that the dual coil tanks, while being the hot ticket, are overrated. He's an experienced consumer & knows his hardware.

That's why I passed one up on promo, plus the coils cost more. I'm still learning to rebuild my own, so when they go, that would be double the work.

That may be your distributors opinion, but that doesn't mean every one else has the same.
Since I got an evod bdc, I can no longer stand the tastes my normal bcc's give... and I loved bcc's. .. and i rebuild them... even had to break back out my stash of dc carto tanks..

The point being that everyone experiences vaping differently. The problem the OP has, I dont have. I have had a few bad coils, but for the most part a quick replacement with a rebuild solves most issues for me. Sometimes you need to tweak a coil, sometimes it's that you need to tweak your liquid.. now and then you need to add 1 +1, and there are times you need to just throw out the book and try it a completely different way.

I've never used Kanger T3s but I have used other clearos. Every coil gets gunked up over time, no matter what device it's in. How quickly that happens depends on the juice you're using, the power you put on the coil and how sensitive you are to the change in performance. The coil will remain acceptable for a certain amount of ML of juice.

My first suggestion is that you learn how to dry burn your heads. Google it and you'll find a bunch of videos and articles on it. I've made Vivi Nova heads last for months by dry burning them regularly. I do not know if Kanger T3s will perform that well over time, but I'm pretty sure regular dry burning will make a huge difference in your vape experience.

Good luck with it :thumb:

I have the Kanger ProTank2 with an Aero base, and an Aero with the dual coils. I love the Aero with dual coils; more flavor (YMMV). My next tank will probably a ProTank2 with Aero base. With the single coil it is easier to rebuild and mount. With the Aero base I get a great draw and don't have to deal with installing dual coils....

All coils eventually gunk up and die. Residue from vaporizing the liquid gets left behind. That shouldn't mean that the tanks themselves are useless though. Once you clean the tank and replace the coils, they should be fine.... When you replace the coils in one of your dead tanks, do they screw in all the way? Are they making contact with your battery? If it isn't firing, it could be that it isn't making contact with your battery well. Use isopropyl alcohol and a q-tip to clean the battery pin. If it still isn't making contact, then take some tweezers and gently pull the bottom of the installed coil down every so slightly. My guess is that after a few times screwing down each tank, you may be pushing things up too far, or even pushing your battery pin down too far.

If your coils are really gunked up after a tank of juice, soak the coil overnight in a cup of unflavored vodka. Then rinse under hot water, allow it to dry, and dry burn it. Usually the coil comes out good as new.

The other choice, is to learn to rebuild the coils. That's what I did. With micro coils and cotton, my coils last for a couple weeks at least. I do have to replace the cotton wick after a tank or 2, but with practice, it's an easy thing to do.

IMHO, all clearomizer factory-made coils suck in the long run. Either learn to rebuild them yourself, or switch to a better juice delivery device like a cartotank or a rebuildable atomizer.

Clearomizers are popular for novices because they are easy to fill and easy to replace the coil heads. But, their very design is inferior by using inadequate coils and wick material. In order to get them to work long term, they become high maintanance. Think about it. The manufacturers design these so that they can make recurring money on replacement coil heads. The manufacturers don't care so much about quality control, they just want you to keep buying more crappy coils more often. It puts more money in their pockets. It's a sad way to run a business, but that's the way I see it.

I use the exact same setup, and I have never had a coil or tank become unusable that wasn't user error.

My maintenance routine for the Kanger T3S

1- Every 1 to 2 tanks soak the coils in vodka
2- NEVER let the tank go too low. I normally refill before it gets to the point that when I turn it upside down I can't see juice over the silver band near the mouth piece.
3-Rinse the tanks between flavors and occasionally just because it seems cruddy.
4- Dry burn occasionally but not too often. Normally do this when the coil tastes "off" after a soak.
5- Watch for floating O-rings. Sometimes when you use the tank too long the o-ring will come loose and float up into the tank. Catch and replace the errant o-ring.

A lot of good points so far. Recently kanger let some crappy coils out. Also I've seen knock off crap from china labeled wrong. I believe some manufactures see kanger as a type not a brand. I ordered some coils through fast tech. Same boxing and labeling as my authentic coils but after looking closely I found subtle differences. The knock offs where crap. The point of my rambling is the shop you bought from May not have had authentic coils.

My goodness! It was a miracle! I tried changing the wick to cotton, messed up 2 kanger double coil. It was an old one I kept, the first 2 was so gunked up I simply cant pull out the old wick..but after I succeeded, oh my! It tasted so good!!

There's nothing like a new coil. Protank, Evod, or Nautilus, they are all good for the first day or two. I usually get a week or more from a Nautilus coil, but those have dropped in quality lately.

If you are constantly getting only a day out of a Protank coil, try some clear juices and see if you don't get much longer life. If it isn't see through, it has undissolved solids floating in it. Those will burn on your coil and gunk it up. It's one of the reasons I like Dekang juices. Most are clear even though they are different colors depending on the flavor.

I won't name the vendor, but I ordered some juice named Tobacco lately and it was cloudy and had dark brown particles that floated up to the top and formed a ring after a day of sitting. I used to order Dekang Tobacco from the same vendor and it was a clear yellow. This vendor has created their own juice and dropped Dekang. My email reply about the cloudiness and undissolved particles said that the residue was normal and it's their proprietary tobacco flavoring. The juice tastes really good, but it eats a coil a day.
