That is appalling. You are a constituent of that Senator. The incompetence is so blatant it must be newsworthy.

Sorry folks, this is exactly why I never have, will not now, nor will I ever, exercise my right to vote.

"You Senator, have just given the reason why. Voting only enforces one's right to partake in and/or validate our political system. I CHOOSE not to partake."

I swear to god I cannot wait for the day where the majority of voters check the box (or pencil in) NONE OF THE ABOVE. What happens if "NONE OF THE ABOVE" wins? I hope I live to see the day.

Oh that senator reads perfectly well. He's just towing the anti-freedom party line because he thinks this position will garner him more votes during the next election. The sad truth is it probably will. This is classic divide and conquer strategy, and unfortunately, this kind of strategy has been most effective throughout history. The seeds of our dwindling freedom were sewn as far back as the 1970s. Still, it's truly amazing to see it all unfold so rapidly 30 something years later. Anyone who thinks it's going to stop with smoking e-cigs or analog cigs is only fooling themselves. Look at the assault on restaurants now. The over-eaters should have banned with the smokers 25 years ago..

That response letter was the exact same one I received from Senator Brown in Ohio. I responded back to him with an e-mail that stated "Thanks for not reading a word that I had written."

I received a similar response to my first email, I replied and asked that a different intern, someone who had taken a course in reading comprehension to please read it, I then received a second "canned response" to a different bill altogether, again sent back with the request that someone that knew how to read please read and respond. Haven't heard back yet-LOL!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, an old fashioned, hand written, snail mailed letter is the best way to communicate with elected officials. E-mail doesn't get read. Letters at least have a shot.
