Hello,

I use to be a e-cigarette user a long time ago but I went back to analogs (yes I know, booooo) and now I am looking to get back into e-cigs. It seems everything got a lot more complicated on this forum and lot more products, therefore I'm in need of some help to clarify certain things. Back in the days I used Puresmoker stuff and I liked it but something happened (unrelated to the product) and I went back to analogs.

After some extensive research I am thinking of getting a Map tank because it seems to be gaining some headway. I just need to get it when its in stock (which might be harder said than done) and also need to figure out what to attach the Map tank to. Another solution as presented in the live chat was to get the Ego-T and see if I like the tank system, and if I don't than I can just get the Map Tank and attach it to the Ego battery. I am a bit concerned about the Ego-T though... because of the problems that seem to be present among Ego-T users, which pertains to clogging and burnt taste.

Suggestions are encouraged.

Some questions,

How long will a Ego-T on a single fill last you for?
How long will a Map Tank on a single fill last you for? and Mini-Map Tank?
What happened to PureSmoker, they used to be popular back in the days..?
What are the pros and cons of Reo?

Can't think of anything else, if you wanna add some additional information, go right ahead.

I'm still waiting on my MAP tanks to arrive, but they come in two flavors the 510 (which the Ego uses) and 808. If you go with the Ego-T (I personally did not like them, but many others have) you could easily get a MAP tank later if you don't like it. I've heard the batteries that come with the Ego-T are updated to include an off function (press the button 5 times quickly to turn off/on if I remember correctly). That's a nice feature if you carry yours in your pocket.

I'd say a 5ml MAP tank should last you 1-2 days, depending on vaping habits, but it won't look so pretty on a smaller device like the ego.

The Reo Mini. The mod is 100% mechanical no wires. It has a three ml bottle that holds your ejuice and runs on one 14500 battery. The Reo Mini uses 510-801-901-306 Atomizers or Cartomizers.

-Not my picture since my picture isn't of the inside

I have been using it with a Low Resistance cartomizer and i'm loving it, i take off my drip tip and the cartomizer is wet inside always. Great vapor and my flavors are intense. You could use a low resistance atomizer or a lr306 and it would be good as well.

I don't really know if there are too many cons to the Reo (or most other bottom feeders) besides the price tag. Maybe the front door on it? it's held on by magnets, so some people say they think it comes off too easy. - Availability and price I guess are the cons. The pros to a bottom feeder are many. The Reo grand has a big bottle and it's manually fed (push on the bottle to feed it). Nice system.

I don't own a MAP tank yet, so the only comment I can make is that I keep reading people on this forum say you can't lay it down on its side without a little leaking. I don't know if that's true for just some of them or for all of them.

The ego-t.. Mine is great, but lots of people experience technical difficulties. that's the biggest con. I think it might be a crapshoot because of questionable quality control on the attys. The tank system is sort of a juice hog, but no more so than any auto-dripping system like the bottom feeders. I go through maybe 3 tanks a day and the ego-t is not the only PV I use. I keep a 510 atty in my kit and an ego mega atty and cart in my kit during the day now. I use the mega quite a lot and the 510 occasionally on my ego batts.

That's what I like about the ego system. The batteries are very good and the ego system gives you lots of choices (anything 510, two different mega systems, and the tank system). The ego system is very versatile.

I think the GoGo is the next big thing - they are exclusive to NHaler and EasyCig for the time being.

That's exactly why they won't be the next big thing. With only 2 vendors and having a proprietary thread... I'll be pretty surprised if you'll be able to buy the cartos for the gogo 6 months from now.

The REO is a bottom feeder. You won't be using (or needing) a MAP tank. - You might be misunderstanding what the REO is. It's an automatic drip system. You put whatever your favorite atty is on it, push on the bottle to feed juice to the atty, push the button and vape away. No tank necessary - no cartridge necessary - the juice is in the bottle inside the REO

Hard to suggest a system/mod without knowing what your wants are. How much are you looking to spend? Juice fed or not? There have been so many new things coming out the last few months its enough to make you go dizzy! I just ordered a Darwin which is very new, but definitely an expensive option right now, its an awesome mod, charges via usb and battery lasts for a couple days easy from what I've been hearing. The reo has a fantastic following! Really would need to know more.

I own the eGo-T's and MAP tanks... love them both. There are some inconsistent problems with the eGo-T's, but I have had very few problems, and even the problems I had, still put them far above messing with carts and fillers and filler mods and topping off.

The eGo-T tanks hold about 1.2 ml, maybe a little less. The map tank hold up to 5ml, and yes the only problem I have with the map (and I dont even consider it a problem) is that you cannot lay it on its side. I use my map on a 900mAh eGo batt and even a 650mAh eGo PT. Works great!

Whoever said a map tank was easy to get is misinformed LOL. these are not easy to get because as soon as they come into stock, they are gone. The NOTIFY ME button does work great though and greatly increases your chance of getting one before they're gone. I highly recommend the map tank and you can use them on an eGo which if you also get some tanks for the eGo, you have 2 setups going depending on your mood.

Has anyone else had trouble with the flavor coming through with the Ego-T? I like mine (have had 3) but, if I were using only it to stop smoking, I think that would be difficult because I can't taste it very well. I have to put my strongest flavors and even then I feel like I am wasting my juice because I don't taste it. I don't have the Reo (yet) but I do have a Phidias and every flavor I put in comes out nicely. I use the Ego-T when I am vaping out of boredom ... not when I NEED that nic hit. IMPO if you are only getting one ... go with the Reo and save yourself from struggling to quit smoking any more than necessary.

Lots of people. There are at least a dozen threads I've read where it has come up. This Thread is an insane read that will take you a couple of days to get all the way through, but it's worth it.

I blow out my atty between every tank (almost always anyway) even if I'm not changing flavors. I haven't had a whole lot of trouble with muted flavors. There are some LR attys (1.7-1.8 ohm) out for the ego-t now. They produce warmer vapor and some people are reporting they seem to have solved the muted flavor problem for them. My luck with the LRs wasn't very good (Bought 2 --1 popped in a couple of hours and the other one is a leaker). So far, only one vendor seems to have them but others have reported they will be selling them soon. And, other people are having better luck than I did

My opinion...if you want to just get started with a good, low priced, reliable device...go with an EGO kit with LR cartos (1.5-1.8ohm) or Ego LR (1.5ohm)Mega type B attys (hold about 2ml of juice so you dont have to keep on topping off). Bang for your buck...you'll be happy. I was on the same boat as you, went back to analogs all of half of 2009 and all of 2010, got back to vaping new years 2011! The e-cig game has changed since the Puresmoker/E-Smokeytreats/TotallyWicked days...(sorry for leaving anyone out). There are VV (variable voltage) units, LR (low resistance) atty's and cartos...Bottom Feeders...etc, I was blown away and confused as heck! haha. I was buying new stuff every other day, from wetboxes, Ego's, Vgo's, big tanks, mini tanks...man oh man...but after all of this money I've spent in these last few months...my got to vape is, my Ego and my $20 3.7v box mod (from madvapes.com) with LR 510 cartos. They give you awesome vapor (way more than we got back in the days), killer throat hit and more than double the battery life. If you pick up an Ego, you can get the ECF special kit from Liberty-flights.com for $42.98 if you use the 20%off coupon code "october20". Hope this helps.

I've been vaping for over a year now. Unfortunately, I've spent wayyyy too much on everything. I now have my mini Reo and will never look back. I'm fine with standard attys and ultafire 14500 protected batteries and a drip tip. No more fussing with carts and no troubles with cartomizers. I love, love, love this mod!!!! Sure wish I wouldn't have been put off with the price, $140.95 shipped in the US. Perfect fit for my hand, not too big. Just take an extra battery, an atomizer (just in case) and a spare bottle of juice, fits neatly in a very small case an away I go.
