Just outing myself...I started vaping two weeks ago thanks to this forum and have not had an analog, or any nicotine for that matter, since.

Began with the Vapor King starter kit with the long skinny batteries and the premium cartos, zero nic, menthol flavor. Have now graduated to using the manual pass through at home and using e juice in the blank cartos.

Thanks for all the information here. I couldn't have done this without it. I am officially cigarette, tobacco and nicotine free. And I don't have to give up my ritual to do it.

Onto mixing my own juice...BubbleGum here I come!!!!

Ted, I think the nicotine alone isn't really that bad for you, I liken it to caffeine. It's all of the other things in smoke that kill, not the nicotine.
My doctor also said nicotine alone is no worse than caffeine. Like most things it's not without some draw back, it does very slightly raise blood pressure, so if you have hi bp it would be wise to consult your doc....with that said, the same and much more dire warnings would apply if you had hi bp and smoked.

My doc requested printed info he could supply to other patients.......that was enough health endorsement for me.

EDIT: and dont ask me about vaping in a recovery room after a minor procedure two weeks ago..........the docs were all fine with it.

Does anyone know the real skinny on nicotine? Is it or is it not unhealthy? I can't figure it out because I hear/read both sides of the story.

as some have said much like caffene it can raise BP and heart rate...

However...the trend now too seems that they're finding nicotine to be helpful in treating parkinsons, alzheimers, crohns, ulcerative colitis, ADD, ADHD, and some mental disorders...

The only reason I went nicotine free is I want to be addiction free. I don't want to have cravings during long meetings or plane rides or any other inconvenient time. I don't have a problem going without caffeine for a day but man was I a beast if I didn't have nicotine for a few hours, lol!

Vaping made it easy for me to lose the addiction without having to suffer additionally by quitting the habit, if that makes sense.

Congrats to you and welcome!! I hope to one day be nicotine free too but for now I am just so glad not to be inhaling all of those chemicals and tar into my lungs!!
P.S. when you figure out the perfect bubble gum flavor let me know! ;)
