I am curious if there is a folding mod that would protect the cart from breaking off in your pocket or that would not fire in your pocket?

Just a question - what do you mean by cart? If you mean cart that pushes onto an atomizer, then I recommend you use cartomizers. A cartomizer screws right onto the battery, replacing both the atomizer and the cart. There is nothing to fall off. I f you have an ecig that can't use cartomizers, consider getting a different ecig. I use Boge cartos on my 510 (slim 510 needs standard resistance) and I use KR808D-1 which is a cartomizer model.
