The supplier I have been buying from for years decided to discontinue my favorite flavors so I went shopping for a new supplier. I found one that met my criteria and placed an order. Now, several days later, they emailed me saying that due to regulations they cannot ship eliquid with nicotine to a Chicago address. I have never had problems getting liquids shipped here from several different suppliers over the years. I performed a google search and found nothing about a regulation against shipping liquid with nicotine to Chicago.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks for the tip. Sadly, I am extremely busy so I prefer to just order liquid and be done with it.

Takes less time than making a cup of coffee.

Keep in mind:
Most of us DIY because we don't want to be tethered to a company, like we were tethered to buying cigarettes.

Juice has the highest profit margins of any product in vaping by a huge factor.
It's a big scam.
My DIY juice costs about 4 cents a ml and is far better and higher quality than anything on the market.

I appreciate your advice and don't mean to be rude, but at this point in my life I don't have time to source all of the supplies, learn the process and then mix my own liquids. I am open to the idea down the line but for now I just need a reliable vendor with good 100% VG liquids.

I won't get into the details but the universe decided to make my life very difficult for the foreseeable future and I truly do not mind spending the money to make my life a little easier.

No worries.
Its just an option.
I was only giving you the easiest, cheapest, highest quality, permanent solution to your problem.
;)
You will continue to run into the same issue for as long as you buy premade, mystery juice.

Take a look for yourself.
It's far, far easier than you think.

Didn't a bunch of new taxes on tobacco products just kick in for Chicago? The vendor may be concerned about collecting or paying those taxes on Chicago orders. That may or may not be an overreaction by the vendor or something that will concern other vendors as well.

This is the last I know of, a judge ruled the taxes to be illegal in January of this year.

Judge: New Chicago tobacco taxes are illegal

It could have been challenged after this, I don't know.

Maybe the vendor doesn't stay up to date and just put a no sell mark on Chicago without knowing. State tax laws have affected several states, one of the more aggressive being PA. I expect it's getting difficult for smaller vendors to remain current and how to be compliant with all the different jurisdictions.

If I were you, I would call the vendor and speak to them on the phone. I once wanted to buy something from a vendor with a notice on his site that they would not ship products to Texas. I called him on the phone and explained that I receive vape products at my home from all over the world almost every week. He was misinformed about restrictions on vaping sales in Texas, and once I explained it to him he agreed to sell to me.

I think that's Arkansas.. they cannot buy anything vape related from outside of their state. (Although Indiana had some difficulties if I remember correctly too, I guess I don't remember what theirs were)

It turns out that they are just nervous about being in compliance with the Chicago tax, which seems silly. No other vendor has given me any trouble.
