I recently received my first-ever order from AVE (I'm a new vaper, less than 2 months). The Boba's Bounty is insane, Gorilla Juice is fantastic, Hype is intoxicating, but I'm really confused by the Craveloupe. In fact, I'm wondering if I got a bad batch. Here are the symptoms:

1. The liquid is by far the thickest and most viscous I've yet encountered. It's almost as thick as Elmer's Glue. When I up-end the bottle, the air bubble slowly rises. When I drip it, the drop elongates like drool.

2. The amount of vapor it produces is unbelievable. It puts out more vapor than I ever imagined possible. That's not a bad thing, but it's kind of weird.

3. The "texture" of the vapor is very very thick.

4. The taste of cantaloupe is very weak, and I only get that faintly on the exhale.

5. After trying it for a little while, it seemed like it was maybe making me feel a bit sick to my stomach.

I expected Craveloupe to be just like Hype, except with a cantaloupe flavor instead of peach/melon, but they're not even remotely similar in performance.

Can anyone offer any insight? Did I maybe get a bad batch?

Yep, Craveloupe is THICK, even by AVE standards lol

I don't taste cantaloupe at all, more like fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA or something. Still one of my favorites! I mix it with tobaccos. No 2 flavors perform the same way imo, doubt you got a "bad batch".

If you find it's making you feel queezy, could be the flavoring doesn't agree with you - I've had that happen a few times, though not with AVE, but it can and does happen, as everyone's chemistry is different.

For example I can't vape Halo, any of it. Makes me ill, but I know many people love it..

PS: try some Havana Gold! mmmm gewd.

I experienced the same thing....I thought it would be like Hype without the peach.....not even close....

Nice one Dopeh!! fruity COPYRIGHTDMCA..............yeah, that's one way to describe it! I like the clearish color to craveloupe. It seems more natural that way. I like it because it has a nice sweet aftertaste. It doesn't grab you by the throat & slap you around like hype & sweet tart do. It's more of a calm juice. (yes, i'm probably a weirdo for characterizing my juices like this). AVE definitely has the most complex flavors that i've ever experienced by a vendor. I wouldn't even know where to begin in trying to recreate hype, sweet tart, or craveloupe.

Craveloupe is my #3 flavor, not just by AVE, but by ALL vendors. I think it's a 'little' thicker than hype or sweet tart, but nothing that i've noticed before you mentioning it. The taste most certainly IS on the exhale though, that's why I say it's different than my top 2 favorites. I've also never noticed a bigger plume of vapor from craveloupe than my other AVE favorites. Hmmmm, maybe i'll watch next time.

I don't use cartomizers (unless they are pre-filled menthol & only in a pinch situation)..........but I got some cartomizers in a trade. I filled one with craveloupe & another with sweet tart. ...........All I can say, is damn, cartomizer users are totally missing out. AVE's complex flavors definitely deserve to be used with a bottom feeder with the vape running directly up to the atty then into your lungs, or by being dripped. I tossed the cartomizers, because the flavors were just too muted, and definitely didn't seem like my everyday AVE vaping experience (yes, vaping AVE everyday IS in fact an EXPERIENCE)

To the OP~ getting sick to your stomach is a symptom of nicotine OD...........I wasn't there & don't know your vaping habits or your gear, so I don't know if that is what happened to you or not, but it's a possibility.

I sorta doubt that you got a bad batch of craveloupe. However, things happen & maybe you did. If you really feel like it was in fact a "bad batch", contact AVE & see what they've got to say. I think that the fact that Ben pulled BB & GJ last week because he refused to use trash flavorings & make a buck speaks volumes for not only AVEs juice, but also their reputation. Not only do they look for the PERFECT final batch, but even each individual batch of flavorings they receive are closely scrutinized.

I think we all have times when we order a juice thinking it's gonna taste like something we want it to.......then upon receipt said juice doesn't meet our expectations, so as humans it's normal to experience a period of "let down". God knows that I'd LOVE to return TONS of trash juice that was described so wonderfully, & seemed like something I could vape forever and ever while reading about it on my computer screen.

Yeah...........it took me 5 months of vaping to accidentally run across AVE. I swear i'll never look back.

(sorry, didn't mean to write a book)

I'm very glad that you chimed in with this response. It helped me put 2+2 together. Like I said in the OP, I'm still a new vaper and tend to freak out when the unexpected happens.

* I fully expected Craveloupe to be exactly like Hype. When it wasn't, it confused me.

* When I found that it was so different from Hype, I was definitely hot-boxing it... trying to figure it out. Hot-boxing 24mg of nicotine definitely sends me to OD-ville.

* Here's a clue to let everyone know how much of an idiot I am. When I first tried Craveloupe, I was immediately coming off of a 24-hour period of vaping nothing but cinnamon e-juice. I didn't realize that hardcore cinnamon murdered your taste buds. Is there any wonder why the taste of Craveloupe seemed muted to me at that point in time?

:ohmy::unsure::cry::laugh::toast::vapor:

As soon as I can convince myself to take a break from my current obsession/addiction spree with Boba's Bounty, I'll try Craveloupe again and report back.

Thanks to everyone for their responses.
