I got mine this afternoon and been vaping on it all evening. The heads that came with mine are the shorter revision heads.

So far, it works like a champ. No problems. Flavor is increased from the ProTanks of yesterday. Compared to the Aspire, while the Pyrex and metal is superior, it's still too damn airy and kills some of the flavor it picks back up. For double what the Aspire BDC costs I expected a better or identical vaping experience and it's just not. The Aspire BDC heads are now the universal heads for other BDC tanks like the Vape Openly's, Davide BDC, Aspire line, and Anyvape BDC's. Both big tanks and eGo. Kanger came out with a proprietary head that they had to revise and only works on the new Protank 3. Obviously not a well thought out plan, and Kanger rushed out a competitor to the tons of BDC's and didn't really put a lot of thought into it.

Build design and quality: Protank > Aspire
Flavor: Protank < Aspire
Price: Protank < Aspire
Replacement heads: Protank < Aspire

All in all, an easy miss here friends.

I've only used one of the coil heads so far and have had leaking/flooding issues
I bought my ProTank II locally and the lady at the store damaged the seal between the coil and threaded base when she installed it. I put the second one in and actually had some leakage by over-tightening the battery connection and forcing the same seal away from it's seat.

I now hold the power button in the ON position as I am connecting the battery and when I hear it fire I only tighten the battery just a little more. I have not had any more issues with leakage after that.

Make sure the seal is not damaged, coil is tight and wire is not interfering, and don't overtighten battery to force the coil up and you should be good.

Now I've only got 12 days experience with PV's so if you still have issues with leaking maybe some of the more experienced users can chime in.

Good Luck and Happy Vaping!!!

The main trick on a Kange is to allow time for the wicks to saturate with juice before tanking that first vape. If you don't then one can singe the wick, and promote flooding. And as stated, don't over tighten onto the batter device, this can bend the coil, creating hot spots and shorts, ruining the coil head and getting nasty dry hits.

Tried it, first coil out of the box vaped good for a bit, then flooded constantly... second coil was like drawing through mud and had to fire it for almost 10 seconds to get lillte if any vape, took it back to the store and exchanged it for a PT2 which to my chagrin has the air holes punched in the thread area which was obstructed by the 510 connection on my Empire clone (Kamry k100).

Now vaping from a Kayfun Lite clone, and love it. Buy once, cry once.

Quantum shows the replacement coils in stock. I ordered the tank and coils at the same time last night.
Thanks for the tip. I ordered my Protank 3 on Saturday from Ebay, it's a US dealer, so it should be here in a couple of days. The only bad thing was that I couldn't find the replacement coils till now :2cool:

The protank 3 I got is ok. The glass isn't formed right it's a little crooked. At first yeah mine flooded, but that's because I wasn't giving it enough power. It does alright now, but it's not the vapor monster I thought it would be. Prolly look at a few other tank styles, including building my own. It's ok, disappointing but ok. Anyone recommend a tank/atomizer that can whip my current champ in the vapor+flavor department, the protank mini 2? I have a Tesla to power it, so multiple coils is not a issue.

I'm a new vaper gladly kicking the smoking habit 6 weeks ago, the very 1st tank I purchased was in October was a KangerTech ProTank II Mini V2 then a ProTank II which I will put on EBay this week hopefully I can get something back and put it towards something I can rebuild, tweak and vape on!;), although there not bad I don't think there great either. The early ProTank III feedback doesn't look great and the Unitank didn't really make sense. Don't get me wrong it's way more cost effective to have a couple ProTanks than burning £££ on disposable cleos, easy rebuilds, cheap attys and recoiling is a quick job. But I am searching for my vaping nirvana in just a few weeks from quitting smoking its become a hobby, a journey and a search for blissful flavour maybe I outgrew the PT's now I am looking forward to the future!

A update to my post. I decided to try and amp up the wattage. At around 12 watts it really shines. Gets warm but lol actually made me cough with the volume of vapor, and also lessened the crackling that 9 watts and below was causing. I stopped upping the wattage when it started to crackle, but seems like this beast of a dual coil head needs some power to drive. Noticing the battery getting warm tho...... Hmmm maybe the ultrafire doesnt have the umpf to drive the tesla's higher wattages. :/ shrugs heh I'm still such a noob

I got my ProTank 3 in the mail last week, and it seems to be really airy hits compared to the iClear30. Ive been using the different beauty rings that seem to help, but I may still be looking for a new .

Update: I found if I slowed down on the draw, that it gives me a bigger plume of vapor. I probably wont sell my PT3 now, but I'm not too sure of its future after the 7 heads that I have for it.

Note: I bought my PT3 from Ebay, and there was an option to change the glass to whatever color you want.

I had my pro tank 3 for a little bit now. When it works it is great. But the coil are junk! They seem to only last a few days if that. And then I keep getting duds in the package. This last pack 3 out of the 5 were duds!! I ordered some more in hopes that it was just a bad batch. But in the mean time I am on my last coil. Has anyone else been having trouble as well?
