I am on Indian land
... Reading stuff like this just re-inforces to me how wonderfully supportive the vaping community is...

To have found my support group before I'd even begun looking for one is an incredible gift - I came here prepared to be told that e-cigarettes worked best for "social smokers," and that my ilk should take our chances with pills and zucchini spears.

...She is like the twinkly stars in the night sky ...that was really bad...

ROFL! It is gloriously bad! And now you have immortalized me in TWO art forms! And once again, I shall spend the rest of the day strutting around like a peacock with new designer feathers!

...You know though, they could just nip the whole thing in the bud by banning Dihydrogen Monoxide...

I actually remember getting those emails ... but no, In case there are people who don't know, I won't spoil it!

...I just looove hippopotomatii!! But I don't like pillows...

That's OK, it's a multi-function hippopotamus. It likes to give Barbie rides and bounce with you on the bunk beds, and it especially enjoys being featured prominently (along with its good friend Hoosier's purple elephant pillow) in dramatizations (or simple narrative, when it's sleepy) of epic tales involving adventure, mysterious islands, princes and princesses, heaps of glittering treasure and happy endings. Plus you can cuddle it when it takes a nap.

...You must be getting good at it now...

"good at it" will take a while. But I'm developing strategies to help me work out exactly what to shoot for, a key element of "getting good" at anything.

...the kr808d-1 IS my only choice...

I've just started working on my threatened blogrant on this topic, and was wondering if I even ought to do it, as the kr808d-1 is the only one I've ever even seen, much less used, but then it occurred to me - that's exactly the point!

For example, I have "low vision," but I was successful in getting the cartomizer on with my eyes completely closed, so I can attest that it can be done with no vision at all!

(I wonder which vendor will be the first to add Braille labels to cartomizers?) ;)

...This thread is something... a very 'typical' one...we are generous...We are eager to help and enthusiastic. A true community....

As I've poked around the forum, I've thought that very thing! So many people have shared so many encouraging, helpful and hopeful stories, that the thread has become a sort of ECF zeitgeist flavor capsule!

...just took hold of my first post burned it buried it six feet in the ground and popped a cross on top....

I hope you'll exhume it, because it's a story that will give hope to lots of people in similar situations - and a reminder that we do not all have the luxury of making that gradual transition.

I should have committed a blogrant about it already, but better late than never - I have now!

...Will you please write for my blog?...

Thank you for such a nice compliment! If you think anything might be useful, I'd be very honored if you post it wherever you like!

...I've missed so much while we were seeding...

What utorrent are you running? The new one doesn't slow your browser down at all.

...Maybe the ECF is the right place for aliens to start off their world colonization process. Think about it... ...

ROFLMAO! I'm used to losing my eyeliner on here, but this time the thief was a fit of carcajadas!

I couldn't help it, I had to click you, and discovered we have something in common besides our love of words - one of the most enjoyable times of my life were the years I spent watching people learn an additional language. (I don't believe it's possible to teach anybody anything, all any of us can do is make resources available and watch hilarity ensue).

...she has woven and cast her gossamer webs of pure color, brilliant light and deep shadows...and enchants all who peruse her eloquence ...

Aren't you a one to be talking about eloquence! I looked it up, and your picture was there!

... accept her as she is...

Don't worry, he/she does! I'm both touched and honored by your sweet protective instincts, and somebody out there either already is, or is going to be a very lucky Ms or Mrscorpindio!

But in this case, I think you can safely lay down your sword. You and revolver are kindred spirits - you both share a love of words and a special gift for stringing them together. He/She's in South America, and people from there love to make people laugh! Her/His post is a whimsical tribute to the spirits of Alfredo Casero and Juan Carlos Mesa (not to be confused with the Meso-American comic genius Florinda Meza).

Upon clicking her/him, I discovered that she/he mentioned the embedded microchip idea months before I ever came here, and was gracious enough to refrain from so much as pointing that out!

...As long as -lol- does not confess that her "hooka-doodle" is code for 'alien probe'.... I think I will stay adopted...

You are all making me laugh too hard to type now, jtpjc is on an Authentic Roll, and you remind us that the True Meaning of the electric hookah-doodle is "OK, tell me again - why would anybody want to be more than 3 feet from the computer?"

... for the rest of you...o-m-g...You are such a great group of folks....

Well and succinctly said! And you and I are charged with the sweet task of practicing our pronouns, because that great group now includes us!

... WE A CULT! Cool. ...
... Hooray for us! ...

Cool and Hooray indeed! I do hope someone has begun designing our Official Comical Hat.

...bravo... The OP is awesome! ...

That reminds me, bassthumper, I saw something extremely awesome the other day!

Congratulations and bravo back atcha! Thanks for inspiring me!

... brought "something" out of a lot of the members here ...

LOL from my perspective, the members here have 'something' that brings me more determination, optimism, and hopefulness than I would have thought possible!

In my first post, I used the term "smoking cessation ideation." That's really what it was. I was at the very beginning of that first tentative "educate self re: options" step.

And today, I spend part of every day learning to puff - I'm Officially In The Process of Making The Transition!

... Can I please have another Blog to read now? ...
... Must be patient, must be patient.. ...

I just did one - about people who can't make a gradual transition!

... if Mr. Lilolelady smokes ? And has he had a go on your "hookie doodle"...

He smoked for a while in his college years, and quit cold turkey. The difficulty of that experience left him very sympathetic to people for whom cold turkey just didn't work.

... has he had a go on your "hookah-doodle" ...

LOL I did get him to try a a puff, and he was very polite. :D

He's delighted that I like it, and has a tremendous appreciation of it for the good it's doing me - and his own peace of mind, but I suspect that he may have been somewhat less than captivated by "wowboy."

... Seeing you hooked up to the national grid puffing away...

Oh, THAT he thoroughly enjoys - for all the solemn reasons stated above, and as a source of boundless amusement!

... each half hour you practice must mean a cigarette not smoked ..

Each half hour I practice means several cigarettes not smoked.

... I'll bet your doctor is pleased...

Smart Shaman is over the moon!

... can you see it replacing smoking for you ?...

Totally! Not tomorrow, nor next week, but I'm feeling extremely confident that eventually, I will be able to completely phase out the Marlboros!

... please adopt me too..... I would like the cat pillow please...

Of course you are adopted! In fact, just this morning the cat pillow (pearl gray with a pink nose) asked for you specifically, and meowed the hope that you would arrive soon!

... would you adopt me too? I have an malibu barbie car, some bratz shoes and 66 era GI Joe doll, (clothing optional)..may need to borrow some of your barbie dresses, if that's ok? I Love You...

I thought you already were adopted! Anyway, you are now, and there's plenty of room in the Dream Garage, as well as a number of GI Joes who've renounced conflict for the peaceful harmony of fashion already there, so he'll have plenty of instant BFFs, as well as a selection of stretch satin-bodiced prom dresses. I'd try the violet first - of course the skirt is just plain tulle, but by candlelight, the raspberry underlayer makes it look almost like shot silk!

... Can someone give me a quick summary of this thread in 20 words or less?...

You'll laugh, you'll cry - It's better than CATS!

... If you read her blogs, I am positive you will get the gist of the saga!...

LOL Tracker II, I think he is being mischievous. The blogs are just rambling bleatage intended as tips for my fellow Aged and Infirm changing over to e-cigarettes, whereas this thread contains so many inspiring stories and thoughtful musings and rollicking hilarity from so many wonderful people - I hope you will find time to read it -

Hurry now, so when the movie comes out you can assume a supercilious air and hmmph that you liked the thread much better, and who did the casting anyhow? Because while you can live with Johnny Depp as Del Boy, and found Michele Rodriguez refreshingly believable as classwife, Madhuri Dixit is simply NOT how you'd pictured scorpindio, and frankly, you didn't feel Russell Crowe really understood jtpjc, and Selena Gomez seemed similarly out of her element as WomanofHeart although you are obliged, like everybody else, including, of course, The Academy, that as much as you hate to see another James Cameron sweep, Meryl Streep was the ONLY choice for Vocaltek...

... are we all kind of posting excellent stuff...

You are all posting such excellent stuff that I didn't turn the computer off like I'm supposed to when the pills kick in, and now look! I'm skipping around and losing my place and rambling and getting behinder, because thanks to all of you, I'm laughing too hard to type - again!

It's really hard see trying to wipe these tears from my eyes! And my neighbours are starting to think strange things about me, with all the hystrical laughing going on by the woman alone in the apartment downstairs, but I totally see Betty White playing the Lovely Opulant Lady in, (working titles) "Crossing Over", "Testing the Waters" or " Oh, No, You Didn't"

Jtpjc - You didn't spill your young cheap wine while you were trying to move like a pen did you ? I hate it when that happens.

Heyyyy lilolelady, glad to hear that you are taking to "it" very well. It all seems to be going rather smoother than you thought it would i bet. I honestly thought you may have had a couple of minor disasters by now. You know what it's like when you really really want something to go smoothly for someone. Everything that can - will go wrong.

It's really nice that no-one is making you cry anymore. It's all go. It's all positive now. I think and hope you've become acclimatised to the love that radiates as clear as day through the pages of this thread.

Great to hear from you. As always.

I had to laugh myself silly again, tears and all....so I take it you don't have anything in taffeta?

I think I have some explanation to do. You see, because of my new genetic background, being adopted by -lol- and all that, I somehow have doubled. This afternoon I grew some extra legs, arms and ehm... stuff... and then I divided. Or split, whatever you want to call it. Anyway, there's now two of me. Us. Still getting used to this situation. So I, I mean we, will be doing a lot of double posts.

Hey jtjpc - this posting frenzy you're having probably seemed like a good idea originally. But i think you've become hysterical.

You've been adopted. You have to settle down now. Someone throw him his big purple hippo cushion. He'll be asleep in 5 minutes.
I know it's difficult to contain your sheer joy. We've all struggled a little...well i have. But it's ok. It will settle down.

You gotta be nuts! but I like it!

Well, it's that kind of economy right now ya know...
I used to spend a fortune getting gadgets to try to make my life a little easier...then I remembered how jobs were once so plentiful that teenagers worked at the local McDonalds...now the 40 year olds with three Master's degrees are fighting for those jobs.

So...instead of spending $180 a month on cartomizers...I just pay some kid $200 a month to follow me around and drip for me ;)

Yeah, I know, it cost a little more to have the servant...but talk about status...and I'm like the bomb with the Alumni association cuz of all the kids I'm helping go to college (keeps them away from all 14 McDonalds jobs here in town for another 4 years).

I was just gonna start a big Corp and hire lots of folks...but the Govt told me they'd punish me personally if I did something so foolish like that. Evil corps and all...and I'll be dang if I'm gonna do it with my own money and get taxed 72%...punished for investing.

Cash under the table is good...the the kids look great in white glooves right?
