I've been hearing contradictions regarding the timeline for the FDA regulations. Some say as of August 8th 2016, all vendors, both online and brick and mortar will have to stop selling all ecig products. Others have been saying, that on that date, the vendors will only have to list components, ingredients, etc for the products they sell, but will still be able to sell them (as long as they are over 18 years of age). So, which is it? I know they can't sell any new products after that date, but what about the products that are already on the market?

It's neither of those, as of August 8th the market freezes and only products already on the market can continue to be sold. The complete lists are due in December 2016 and in Aug 2018 they have to stop selling unless the product is either FDA approved or they applied for approval on it which buys them up to another year.
