Ok, so I just got my Vapor4Life Ultimate Starter Kit with manual batteries today, and I know you are supposed to let it charge first, but I had to try it out.

Confused...........................

The liquid of the prefilled cartomizer seemed to leak out onto the tip. What did I do wrong?

Also is it normal for the cigarette to make a crackling, burning noise when you vape on it? The cartomizer also gets really hot too.

And what do you do with the cartomizer that you already opened when you go to charge the battery? Is it ok just to put the stopper back in it and the little plastic caps back on? That's what I did, but I couldn't seem to find instructions in the manual.

Finally, how in the world do you use this PCC thing? I plugged it into my laptop with the battery screwed in, but it just has a red light. I am not sure if it is charging or not.

Sorry to overwhelm with so many questions. I just don't want to break the thing before I get to use it good!

I've used them but my knowledge is little.
If you are getting liquid in the mouth and cartomizer is getting hot, then I'd say you are sucking to hard and too long. This could be because your batteries aren't fully charged. What ever, DON'T let it get hot because you can burn the filler which will give it a very yuk taste.
Hopefully someone else will come along that knows more than I do.

but I did start with the same V4L kit as you...

Yes.. the crackle pop is normal for a new cartomizer...

You can put the little rubber caps back on.. or not.. I don't.. but maybe it would keep them from drying out ????

I have noticed that on a new cart. sometimes a small amount of liquid can leak out of the tip of the mouthpiece ... normal???

I also got the PCC.. out of fear of running out of battery when I needed it most... and I agree.. the red light doesn't tell you much... just notice that the led on the end of the battery blinks 3 times when you screw it on.. and you will know the battery is charging... in reality.. after a couple of days I realized that I didn't need the PCC after all and have not used it since...

wait until you go out drinking with it or a night out on the town, thats how i knew it would work for me, if i get a few drinks in me and i am still using the PV, then i know i can get through the rest of this to totally stop analogs. yesterday is the first day since getting my BSB that i haven't had an analog and i'm going to keep on with the BSB and totally get off of them, one day not smoking down, many more to go

You can use the batts right of the box, but the charge is minimal so your first charge after they drain down should be 8 hours. A couple of things to note, some carts will leak at first so draw lightly on these carts until they vape down a little.

If it makes you feel better you can put the caps onto the carts between use but I don't think it makes a difference for anything other than long-term storage.

The snap, crackle, pop sound is the sound of vaping victory and perfectly normal. I would highly suggest getting a USB auto-batt passthrough to get away from swapping batteries. The p/t is great at 5V, much better than the 3.7 batts that are in your starter kit...trust me you'll love your passthrough!

The great thing is that your V4L kit is an ideal way to start your vaping adventure. You will soon discover not all Cartomizers are the same, some leak a little at first, some get hot, and some are hard to draw on. About 90% of the time the work without any issues at all.

When the taste turns from whatever to burnt popcorn stop using that cartomizer, that burnt popcorn smell might be the wad stuffing burning. I suggest taking a fork a pulling the cap off an empty carto to see whats inside of it. Also, make sure to keep a couple of empty carts in the flavor you like and order a 30ml of the same juice to refill those empty carts.

My V4L favorites: Wowboy, Nuport, Caramel Mocha Frappe Cool Cart, Dunhill, Strawberry Kiwi, and Kamel.

Worst V4L flavors: Pumpkin Pie, American Menthol, and Parliament. (samples..and they were all horrible)

Ok, I have calmed down a bit since the first post............I am actually starting to like this thing, and I think it might can really help me! I noticed this morning that the taste of my regular cigarettes were sour compared to the ecig...............that's a start, right? I still have smoked some regular ones though...................oh well. I am trying.

So can anyone tell me how in the world to fill a blank cartomizer? I have attempted to watch the videos, but they wouldn't load. I have read the instructions on this forum, but it seems that everyone is explaining it assuming that those reading already have a little bit of background knowledge. I must be one of the slow ones................

I looked at the blank cartomizer thing, and I took out my juice but have no clue as to where to pour it. It didn't come with any directions at all. I don't know if you pour it in the battery connector part or the part that you suck on. I am so confused, but I want to try out my Peppermint Ice Cream flavor so badly!

I have to say that overall I am pleased with this experience. I never thought I would find something that could take the place of my beloved smokes. I thought I would have to endure horrible cravings for months like I normally do. I think that this is such a fabulous invention. It's exactly the result that the Nicotine replacement companies have tried to accomplish, but they left out one important factor. We don't just smoke because we are addicted to nicotine. We smoke because of the experience...............if you give us the nicotine without the experience, we are still going to feel cheated and probably go back to smoking!

Just my two cents.......................so can anyone help me figure out how to fill these things?

From what I have read and seen as far as videos go I believe the easiest way to fill the cartomizers is to take the rubbery cap off the end you screw onto your battery. Then fill the rubbery cap approximately half way with your liquid, and then slow put the cartomizer back into the cap and the juice with fill into the cartomizer as you compress it into the rubbery cap. give it a minute or 2 to fully absorb into the polly fill before you start vaping on it so you don't get a mouthful of juice and you should be good to go. hopefully that will help a bit, or one of these awesome veterans of the community will swing in and fill any blanks that I would have missed from my research or correct if need be any spots I'm wrong. Take long, slow inhales - do not draw as you would a cigarette- this causes the liquid to come out of the mouthpiece (occasionally this will happen if the carto is overfilled) - when you are inhaling let some air into your mouth along side the vapor - your lips are not sealed.

Crackling is good.

You can put the .... plug and condom back on if you wish- but if you're just recharging and planning on popping that carto back on - it's no biggy to leave it uncapped.

Ok ya'll. I think I have sort of got the hang of it now. I have to say that I love it so far. The only frustration I seem to have is that my cartomizers don't last very long. How long are they supposed to last?

I have bought one pack of regular cigarettes this week. I usually smoke 1 to 1 1/2 packs. Yay!

Hi, temusery! And welcome!

The CCFM method of filling is liked by most forum members. I don't know if that video played for you or not, so here is my description of two filling methods.

For the CCFM method. Put about 15 to 20 drops of eliquid in the "condom" as they are calling it around here - the rubbery cap on either end of a new cartomizer. Take both caps off of the cartomizer that you want to fill - that is so that air can come out of the other end as you fill it. Then slowly push either the mouthpiece end, or the battery end, into the cap filled with eliquid until you either reach the bottom of the cap or until a drop of eliquid shows at the upper end of the cartomizer - the end that you are not putting into the eliquid.

Stop, wipe off any excess carefully - and vape!

Some prefer to insert the mouthpiece end into the cap with eliquid, and some prefer to insert the battery end. I think that inserting the battery end makes the most sense, because all of the filler - the part that holds the eliquid - is at the battery end. But if you do it that way, be sure that no liquid is left on the battery end before you screw the cartomizer onto the battery. If any eliquid gets into the battery, it can kill it. Auto batteries are not sealed. Manual batteries are sealed, and it is not as big a concern with them.

Another method that can be used easily if your cartomizers have a soft mouthpiece, is simply to take a paperclip, or some similar sized piece of stiff wire, or even a fork, and insert it into the hole in the mouthpiece and pry gently till the soft cap comes off. Then just below the cap is a small silicone washer. Take that out too. Then you can just fill by putting drops directly onto the filler. Add ten drops or so, then wait a few moments for that to soak in, then a few more drops, and so on. When the top of the filler looks wet but not pooling, you're done. Reassemble the cartomizer and enjoy!

Sometimes with either fill method, you may overfill the cartomizer slightly, and it will gurgle a bit. I think that it is a good idea with either fill method to cover the battery end of the cartomizer after you fill it with a paper towel or kleenex, and blow through the other end. Any excess liquid will be blown out into the paper towel or kleenex. And you are good to go!
