I update the image from my original post#431. I changed the color of the font on the Ego; it stands out better in white and is an important part of the message.

Much better - I had to double check, because i didn't know you had writing on the e-cig and I can actually see it now.

This is done using Flash - did a video screen-capture then uploaded to youtube in order to show it here (am sure there's a better way but..ugh). Intentionally, there is no sound - wouldn't likely be any on a web banner.

The flash content is the black rectangle (center of picture) and everything inside - the rest is from my screen. Hope it comes through. (It is looped several times in the video, so you get the idea what it might look like repeating. .) :)
Otto, can you share which program you used to do the screen capture video? Although with a rural dialup connection I rarely Utube, I would love to learn how to do this.

EDIT: Thanks a bunch for this info. It is nice to "meet" a fellow graphics and Flash enthusiast in Texas. Prayers are with you in hopes you are living out of harm's way of these devastating fires. Stay safe in Austin!

The video screen capture program is a freebie called CamStudio Recorder (camstudio.org). Was fairly easy to use - tiny download size too (and free).

Here, there, everywhere!
I was having so much fun working on these today I made a second banner to enter. This is my second submission.....

I love the theory, can't read what is in the purple circles (but my eyes are getting tired)

Now did you think about making the vaping one green for "GO". Just my opinion when I look at a stoplight green is the best:)

Behind you
Question: Is my image such and such in violation of Copyright?

Answer: I don't know... there are obvious ones like movies, or brands, and National Geographic. If you're generically searching the web you can check the site of origin for a (c) notice. If you're totally unsure or think an image on a given site is also cribbed from elsewhere then check with TinEye Reverse Image Search.

If you've done that and done everything in good faith, you'll be a-OK. As I'm starting to judge entries and find one I like that I think is in violation, I'll give you a heads up to fix it or clarify. That would of course depend on you leaving an entry slot open to do so.

I'm sorry I'm a bit absent but I've got to "recover" as fast as possible. I'm around though and will announce the ~wrinkle~ in the contest in a few days. It's a good wrinkle. ;-)

I agree that green is the best on a stop light... but the vaping smiley really needs to be smiling to send a good message, and the green one looks kind of unhappy. I would keep it this way unless you can find a really happy looking green smiley and swap them. And what DOES the purple part say? lol

Purple Part (zoomed in)

Win Fail Epic Fail

i like that!!
