Everytime I have tried to quit smoking I become the "Beast from the Black Lagoon". If you have never seen that old b&w movie think Merman with fishface, fangs, claws and having a scaly, spiky bad hair day.
My husband likens me to a banshee with a woverine caught in her throat.
So far (2 days) I haven't bitten anyones head off. But it's early days.
Can nic withdrawal cause all that rage? I am a bit antsy and am having fantasies about the M'boro man, but not angry yet.
believe it or not, this place helps a lot.
The food craving hasn't kicked in either, maybe it won't and I will not blow up and have to wear tents. I lost 40lbs a few years ago and I am not looking forward to another diet and walking fest.

I would say your completely normal, I quit one time when I was 19, (Only smoked for 3 years then lightly), & yes I was a ........ well....... witch with a capitol B. During a divorce I started smoking again, about 3 years later & smoked for years. In about 1995 or so I tried & used patches, (were RX then, not OTC), let me tell you I was the "B from h-ll" according to my husband, yes I remember I was cranky, irritable, ...... off & could not ever get along with myself it was so bad! 3 days, I was back to smoking to save my sanity.

I admit I still smoke, however I have cut back, way back from 2 packs a day, (more on non working days) to less than half pack a day without to much trouble & when I vape I only use 11 MG nic. I feel the lower nic might be why I still crave an analog ciggy, but when I get interested in a movie or something I tend to set here & suck on that baby like a kid with candy, LOL...... Got a couple headaches from higher nic after a while.

The food craving, who knows, I crave food anyway. By using a variety of flavors, I have not gained weight anyway.

I could never go cold turkey. I tried to quit twice in the past, but I just love to smoke. Before ecigs, I would panic if I got down to a couple of analogs at nite, and would run to the store and buy more. Now I only smoke maybe 1 or 2 analogs a day and some days none at all. I use a menthol 18mg. maybe thats why I don't crave analogs much. I had no plans to quit smoking, just wanted to be able to smoke in public places ie restaurants and bars, now with ecigs I just don't crave the real cigs.

Oh good, I am not insane, just nuts like the rest of you!
day 3 and nobody in the house is dead yet. But the analog craving got bad enough today that I vaped hubby's 28? mg m'boro, gave my self a whopping headache. My liquids are all 11mg. I can't wait for the asst. flavors I ordered to get here. I like the Mocha and the Menthol but....
I am just jonesing, it's much like having Tom Selleck in his cowboy outfit, new shoes and a large bar of chocolate all behind glass where I can't get to them. What an image!

Strange... I always found myself stressed while I smoked analogs - probably due to the fact I have a new baby and a six year old. I would always be waiting until I could get a 'smoke break' which rarely happens with little ones.

Now that I vape, I can hold the baby or play games with the older one and not think about hurting them with smoke or a lit cigarette.

Plus I don't have the second hand smoke guilt either, so I'm happier in general.

I still rage occassionally but it has more to do with working 7 days a week at jobs and working all the other hours at home cleaning up/caretaking after the boys and the hubs!

How goes it Pine Needle? Still hanging in there? I was a menthol smoker too. I went with flavors to make that final break with analogs.
Betty, I can't imagine how much stress you are under! When I had a newborn I also had a one year old. I worked 2 jobs and had a pain in the wallet husband. But I didn't start smoking untill a year or so later. I am surprised I didn't go the whole hog and do drugs..except I am scared of needles.
Come talk to us when and if you have time.
