My mother lives in Germany, and just had a real bad heart attack. She is scheduled for quadruple bypass surgery tomorrow. I am going to fly to Germany within the month to see her. I have been vaping for a about a month now and I am loving it. I want to "convert" her. She is 70 years old. She is not that versed in online purchasing. OK. She's never done it and won't...... Any tips on how I can get her to pick them up and stick with it? And does anybody know of a vape shop in the Nuernberg/Fuerth area?

Wow.
I wish your mother the best with her procedure.
Just want to let you know that I'm in my 60s and I had a great 'switch-over' experience. I had smoked forever and it took me FOUR days to decide I didn't need cigarettes any more.
May I recommend the Innokin itastevv? Get two of them and I also suggest Aspire BDC tanks. Fewer parts and easy to fill. Get a pack or three of extra coils for them, and get her plenty of good quality liquids in several nicotine strengths, 50/50 PG/VG.
It sounds like you'll have to be her procurer, so let her just tell you when she needs supplies, and you'll order for her.

My Mother-in-law was 73, and we switched her over easily. She needed to stay in the hospital for a couple days, and not smoking was more a fear to her than the surgery, lol. So she was incredibly happy to have an e-cig. She was not p to getting her own, at B&M or online, so we got the stuff for her. Maybe you could have stuff shipped from websites directly to her? Just start her on something easy to use, and if there is any other family around, show them how it works so they can help her out.

PS, hope she recovers fast and feels better soon!

Delores, I'm having a procedure in two weeks, and let me tell you that I was ALSO more worried about the not smoking than the actual operation!!!! yay for vaping yet again!

Best wished for your mom. Have you told her you're vaping now ? Maybe you could tell her how it worked so well for you. It's probable that having such a bad heart attack set her up in a good disposition to try and stop smoking.

If she's going to stay in the hospital for a while, she won't be able to smoke, so maybe you could take advantage of that and have someone buy her a starter kit. Tell her that's just so she can vape during her hospital stay. Otherwise just buy one online and have it sent to her with a bottle of good juice. Someone can help her set it up.

As far as starter kits go, for someone like this, an evod kit should do the trick. They're easy to find in Europe, foolproof, work well and you don't have to fiddle with them to make them work. They come with everything you need, and are cheap enough.

Thank you ask so much. I am trying to go visit her. But tickets from the US to Germany are crazy expensive right now. I have not been in Germany in several years and don't know anything about the German scene. My brother mistrusts the whole vaping thing so he won't help. And yes. I have told her how happy I have been for the last month without stinkies. Maybe I can make it over there and help her myself.
