Avoid water from tap and coffee/ tea in restaurants.
They use deadly copper lines too.

Stay in school. A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Not to mention all the brass fittings and fixtures used in WATER delivery.

Not sure staying in school will help. Because that is where people are taught that EVERYTHING is going to kill them and every business is trying to murder their customers. Yes if you feed rats NOTHING both lead or almost anything for their whole life, they tend to be unhealthy.. BUT, how does that then mean that trace amounts of something is also dangerous. Because that is how lead was determined to be hazardous. There are NO definative studies showing the dangers of lead, only studies SUGGESTING lead may be a contributor to thing. Studies that conclude with a THEORY are NOT determinative.

Now threaded copper, that can be a concern, due to the softness.

Maybe I'm alone here but I don't think it's a great idea to use anything other than stainless for rda's. I don't know but it seems like softer materials like copper and brass would maybe leech into your juice, maybe I'm just paranoid.
What's your take on it?

For an RDA, Copper, Brass and Stainless Steel are all Metal Alloys.

Some Copper Alloys are Fine to be used around some Foods (non-acidic) or in Water Lines. Some are Not. The Hard part is Knowing which Alloy is Which? And what you are Actually Holding in your Hand?

That is what makes Stainless Steel very Appealing to people. Because almost Any Stainless Steel Alloy is going to be Fine.

For anything that comes in contact with e-Liquids, I would Strongly suggest that a Person chooses Stainless Steel.

Is there any real evidence at all that e juice + copper or brass is in any way harmful?
Or is all this fear based on anecdotal half-data?

I'm not aware of any data on e juice and copper.

I don't think anyone really knows what your stock copper water lines are made up of...or the lines to the coffee machine in your favorite restaurant.
Most copper lines are manufactured........in China!
Be sure your trust of contractors and builders aren't misplaced.
Before you fear something ask for real data.

So you Don't think there are any Standards for what Copper Alloys Water Pipes and Fittings can be used per Building Code?

OK.

My whole reason for asking is because of the heat that comes from the coil(s), which in turn got me curious.
No one said anything about copper or brass being deadly.

Since there is Virtual No Way of knowing what Alloy of Copper or Brass an RDA may be made out of, I would Highly suggest that you go with Stainless Steel.

I am okay on this issue because I happen to have a stainless steel fetish. :D I make my own juice because I want to know what is really in it and there are no Diacetyl, Acetyl Propionyl and Acetoin. (and of course because I am frugal) I have just recently changed over to glass bottles for everything because of what can happen to juice in something other than a #4 LDPE (although #2 and #5 are okay). I don't know where all this came from considering I smoked for fifty-eleven years and was not concerned enough to quit. Does vaping make you smarter? Or maybe it is just ecf. . .
