Busy day here.

Sorry FV - go to the city, small town banks are too scared to loan right now.

Em is landing at 5 ish. Mr. Hubby is on his way to the airport! The roast is done, most likely over done by 7 - when they get here. But hopefully the crock pot will keep it nice and moist. I set it to low at about 3.

Tomorrow I get the "shot"! I'm a wee bit skeered, not looking at needle. I'll just close my eyes and listen while Em asks the Ortho doc. one million questions on being doctor, how to inject properly, where is the site & how does he find it - yes, I can hear it all now. In pre-med they teach to ask as many questions as possible to various types of docs. I'm sure the docs just "love" it

Friday we begin baking - hurray. Just wish we had crystal sugar and not this gosh aweful cane sugar. My sugar cookies don't taste right with it.

Austin starts finals tomorrow. We decorate tree on Friday night. We are getting it tonight so we can wash it and let it dry in the garage - we are going to get another boatload of rain.

Oh how I miss taking the kids to Santa. Austin hated him, until we found the "right one". Mall shopping for Santas who like children  Em refused to go see him after she was 8, then started again at 18

I'm getting more comfortable here, I'm actually saying my kids names on a public forum. Shutters at thought, now that I've thought about it.

For those of you who will ask, why do you wash the tree? Simple, they are shipping from WA the day they are cut. We wash out all the dead stuff and spiders. I didn't know this until our nice neighbors (that moved) had their tree in the middle of the road washing it, he explained that he use to work in a tree farm during college in WA and why we wash them. The spiders made a valid washing point, a big POINT! In MN, you've got dead needles from day one & they just keep dying for two weeks. Plus the trees are sprayed green so they look real(er)
