I was soooo looking forward to that nap, albeit short. But nope, the kids started fighting in the kitchen and I hear at the top of her voice "MOOOOOOOOOM, ALEX HIT MEEEEE" For the love of all things good, you guys are 13 and almost 17 years old. Can't you be in the same room without killing each other? Then Morgan opened her big mouth and called me and Id10t. Uh oh, wrong move. Now the tv is off, computer is off, phone is taken away, and I'm having a glass of wine in an owl mug. Ok, so she goes to her room, fine. Two minutes later I'm being serenaded by every instrument in her room to include the clarinet, ukelele, banjo, guitar, and keyboard. *refills glass of wine* And if I hear "mama" one more time tonight, I'm running away.

How can anyone work for a communications company, but NOT communitcate?!!?!? An engineer screwed up and ordered the wrong equipment. A few weeks later, its brought to his attention, and he orders the correct equipment and tells me we need to send the stuff he ordered wrong back to the central warehouse. I tell him no problem, but Im closing in on 6 weeks behind on all of my returns. He said no big deal, get it when I could. So, today while working on my returns again (up to 832 items now), he calls to complain to me that Im not doing my job and that VPs and Directors (Douche Canoe included) are getting emails about how the equipment he ordered wrong havent been returned yet. I say "Fine, I'll stop what Im doing to take care of your screw up. But it still wont go out until Monday. Im going to have to be in the field tomorrow and Friday." He goes to my manager and complains to him that Im not doing my job. Really ***hole? You order stuff wrong, and Im only half way through 1600 parts that need to be processed to return, all of my receiving is caught up, but I'M the one not doing my job?!?! I explain it all to my manager (a lot more tactfully than what I just typed) and now my manager has to come down here to make sure that FedEx picks up the equipment.

What really kills me about all of this, is that I could get everything cleared out within 2 or three weeks with just 4-5 hours of overtime each week. But Douche Canoe doesnt consider the back up a "plausible reason for overtime". Ungh. I hate people.

Im going home. Then we're going to the store to get a bread maker. Diet be darned, Im having a grilled cheese on homemade bread tonight.

Sorry you had a sucky day and hope you find a great breadmaker to make up for it and that the sandwich is yummy.

Hair turned out the same as usual. An old friend was there She just found out she has lung cancer. She has like 5 years. She opted to not have treatment. Can't for the life of me remember if she smoked or if it's from secondhand smoke.

I'm sorry Drott. That stinks~!!!

Tiff, you're nicer than my Dad, he used to knock our heads together for arguing. Needless to say, we didn't fight much. (where we could be seen) Take the instruments away. Have more wine in silence.

We took a scenic route home. Much to our surprise there is a big cat rescue in WI.

Here it is: http://www.wisconsinbigcats.org

Agreed. I know a gal in BC that runs a big cat rescue up there. She said that sadly, her son will be taking it over when she can't do it anymore. The cats just keep coming in... Why do people think it's a good idea to get one as a pet? I never want a pet that's above me on the food chain.
The whole thing makes me very sad. Not the rescue, that's cool. The fact that there needs to be a rescue. That sucks.

I think we've established that quite a few times.....some people are stupid. A lot have absolutely NO common sense.

Agreed. I got my first Rottie from a couple that lived in a row home with about a 4 square foot yard, and they both worked all day. The poor thing was put in the basement while they were at work, and tied outside to the porch railing with a 10 foot cable when they came home. :( She really loved being able to run around in my yard, chasing my Lab!
