Clear skies and in the 60's today. I came home from taking Morgan to school to find that hubby had brought home a HUGE, GIANT trophy from work and put it on my sewing table to display. Umm, I don't think so. The trophy is from a firefighter skills competition he was captain of a few years ago and they won best all around in it. It will be moved shortly.

Thanks FV. The pink turned out a bit darker than I wanted it but you live and learn. Now to make the firetruck lollipops. I just transplanted all my herbs to planters so not sure if I'm up for another project. I did just find a cute pattern for a dog harness vest I'm going to try to make.

James had asked about the dimensions of the ammo can grill. Here's the complete description with dimensions.

HANDMADE AMMO CAN GRILL

This grill started out as a fat 50 surplus ammo can. The paint was tested using acetone to ensure CARC paint was never used on the can. The existing paint is then stripped from the outside of the can before it is painted with high temperature grill paint. This grill has a raised grate for your charcoal/fire. The raised grate serves several purposes. Keeping the fire off of the bottom of the grill will extend the life of your grill. It also helps provide circulation of fresh air to your fire. When you open the door of the grill you are able to clean ashes from beneath the fire and without disturbing your cooking or fire for long term use. This grill works good for charcoal as well as wood. It has holes for fresh air around the grill and just below the fire bed. The fire and cooking grate are made from expanded steel. There was no galvanized steel used in this grill. The front access door was designed to open from top to bottom so you will not have trouble keeping it open on uneven ground. This grill is perfect for tailgaiting/cooking small meals/bugout or survival grill/small fire pit/camping and more. It cooks great and looks cool. There is just something special about grilling your food over open flames and and coals. Take it to the next level with an ammo can grill.

Dimensions:

Can 12.75" x 7.25" x 8.75"

With Legs 12.75" x 7.25" x 11.75"

Grilling Surface 12" x 6.75"

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

This grill is designed to be used with the top removed. The rubber seal is still attached to the lid. Do not burn with the lid on and closed.

This grill is painted with high temperature paint. Before cooking on the grill burn a hot fire in the grill for approximately 1 hour or until any paint odors have dissipated.

Maybe I'll make some soda bread for supper.

That sounds good! I would ask the Indian chick to make some too, but I think we're having carnitas tacos for dinner, and it wouldn't go.

James, take a ride for me, will you? My bike needs a tire and rear brakes and I haven't had the time or spare money to get it done.

Ducks, Geese finally out in the shed. Got 2 of the brooders cleaned and the big one to go yet. The 6x4 cage in the shed needed more work than I first thought. This old women's Running out of steam. As much as I hate them I'm thinking frozen Pizza for tonight. Oh and I have 8 Dark Mahogany Red Leghorn eggs on their way. Don't tell hubby.

No tour of the Hendick Motorsports shop. Oh well. It was cool enough seeing the tiny section of what I saw. Even when youve seen engines, rebuilt your own, worked on your own, its still fills you with awe to see a few dozen 900hp monsters just sitting there.

Im planning to take a ride Saturday. Im determined to see why that section of hwy is on the "best motorcycle roads" list. Hopefully, I wont breakdown this time. I feel your pain on the maintenance needs. I took a little over $900 to get everything done on mine last week. It hurt. But, that was what I had been saving pretty much my whole allowance for. I still havent told Mrs E how much it was. She doesnt need to know details like that.

I liked that for everything except the running out of steam part.

I need big pictures....Coincidently went to the eye docs today and I have another cataract. He said they are too small to take off.He must have thought I had Obamacare because he said they would have to wait to remove it until I could no longer drive a car..What? So when I schooled him on my not having Obamacare he said he would like them to get a little bigger (Not can't drive the car bigger) to remove them...He's a new one I went to on the quest to find who could make my glasses correctly. He explained everything, got all the maps and pictures out.Showed me the 2 cataracts on the computer, said he would call and confer with my ophthalmologist and..and..and...here's the best part he didn't lose his mind when I told him I didn't want new frames and I would like to put the new script in the old ones.
