It's good to be home.

My eggs are doing nothing. ack, I hate waiting.

Does anyone have a reasonable replacement for Photoshop?

How much longer do they have to go?

Photoshop is, unfortunately given the price, the best there is. I have yet to find a good replacement. if you find one, please let me know.

Good morning all.

TGIF doesnt begin to cover the depths of my relief that this week is over. Hopefully, I'll be able to stay in the warehouse today and get some of my own work done.

The meeting with Douche Canoe actually wasnt too bad. It was my first chance to let him know of my displeasure at my change of hours and how it almost prevented me from coaching this year. It was also a chance to ask/beg/plead for more OT to get caught up on returns that have been sitting in the floor since Feb. For the hours shift, he said that that wasnt his intention. It was just a thought that he was throwing out to my manager who took it as an order to get it done. With any luck, they'll discuss it within the next week or so, and with a lot of finger crossing, I might actually go back to a 7-4 instead of 8-5. And he's going to look into giving me 24 hours of OT over the course of three to four weeks. He also took the opportunity to let me know that my Keurig machine for the warehouse has been approved and would arrive today. Ive already got my brand new coffee cup cleaned out and ready. Can you imagine how much work I can get done hyped up on caffeine?!? We're only allowed two boxes every three weeks. And most of you coffee purists would never touch the two flavors we're getting first. But as I generally dont like the flavor of coffee, I think getting "Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll" and "Caramel Vanilla Cream" sound REALLY good. I'll find out later today though. :D

I think this weekend will be another trip to Carowinds. IF Melanie and CJ can figure out how to behave. Its been a rough summer for them. Theyve been at each other's throats since school let out. But if they CAN be good, Im going to take them to the waterpark in Carowinds tomorrow while Mrs E is at work. I might even let them play in the water with me.

I know it is too hot where Tiff and BFB live. Go South of Yankee country and sizzle.... :2cool:
Yeah, its hot. But I wouldnt change it for too much. I really do love it down here. I love the fact that it doesnt get into single digits very often in the winter. I love the fact it doenst hit triple digits in the summer very often. Even if its about 95 degrees, as long as there is a decent breeze, Im still very comfortable outside as long as Im just relaxing. You really cant beat laying in a hammock with a good book and a glass of sweet iced tea in the summer.

It's hit 97* here today. View attachment 348037

Hubby has the a/c set on 78*. He's not here so I turned it way down.
And THAT is why I bought a programmable thermostat. With a controls lock. And I keep it locked. Mrs E does not know the code to unlock. She cant understand that if the a/c is continuously running, setting the temp lower will not make it colder in the house.

Time to hit the hay! Mrs Punkin talked me into going bowling again. I had a 124. Sucks to be getting old...

*Punkin on the run*
I havent been bowling in years. I would be surprised if I could break 100 right now. Then again, the last few times I went bowling, I didnt break 100. Copious amounts of alcohol may have played a factor in that though... At least, thats what I keep telling myself. :toast:

I use a free one that isnt bad, but doesnt have near the functionality of Photoshop. Its called InfranView.

Those sound good. I might have to try them.

We understand it, we just don't want to believe it.

I'll have to check that one out. I haven't run across that one yet. Of course with my luck it will only run on a PC.

I'll let you know what I think before the end of the day today!

After thinking about it for a bit, it may be call IfranView... I really dont use it often enough to remember. I used it to design a new logo piecing together various images, and it came out really well. And I dont know if it was just my lack of photo editing skills, or because its a garbage program, but it wasnt as user friendly as Photoshop. But it WAS very effective. And free. Free makes it really easy to overlook most difficulties. :D

Good morning! :)

It feels like a nice day here so far, not quite as humid. Making a run to the big box store to get stuff I couldn't bring home on the bike. Then picking up some new front brake pads for the bike, because right now they sound like metal to metal contact is happening. It's always something!

Home finally from work, bank, post office and walmart. Now on to housework. It's hotter than hill here. I don't like the heat.

mmmmmmmNavyBeanSoupmmmmmm

But alas, there wasnt enough of it. There never is.

I should be an hour or two away from a Keurig though!

No, it doesnt take much to make my life exciting.

I thought you didn't like coffee.

You do more in the morning than we do all week! I agree with you that I thought BFB didn't even drink coffee.
