We're in the mid to high 70's...in the first week of March. I don't like how this is shaping up.
We go by "In like a lion, out like a lamb" here. March came in like a lion for sure, so hopefully it's milder by the end. I remember CA weather. While I liked the warmth in the winter, I hated it there in the summer. And I hated the traffic year round.

No but if you find one share.
Nothing yet, still looking. I was hoping Stretchy would pop in with one.

Happy Friday everyone!

Hope everyone is good. Nothing exciting here except for date night last Monday. We went to the movies and saw Split and then ate out Mexican. We were home by 7:30 . That's a late night for us.

2016 Taxes are finished! And since I barely worked last year our refund didn't get demolished with self employment taxes. I have to buy a new pair of clippers for work and a new work smock when the refund gets here. My poor cordless clippers are barely running at all and my smock looks like it's been in a dog fight. Holes, tears, rips. There's a big gaping hole where the pockets were. I cut them off because they either got full of dog hair or on a few occasions a dog would poop while I was holding it and it would fall in my pocket. Not the best surprise when you put your hand in and feel something strange and pull it out and realize it's dog poop. Yuck!

Starting next Saturday I go back to work two days a week instead off just one on Fridays. I told hubby that's all I can do for now. I was working three days a week a year ago but I'm at my max at two right now. When I am there we've been really busy. It's not usually this busy this time of year but since GA skipped winter this year everyone wants their dog groomed early. I did a cut lion cut on a pomeranian today. I also had to shave down a schnauzer mix that I had to double muzzle even after the owner gave it it's grooming sedative the vet prescribed. Another one today was a repair. The owner tried to groom her himself and it didn't turn out so well. Then a 100 or so pound overweight, elderly lab deshed.

Hubby has a new hobby. He started panning for gold in our creek. Trapping season is over as of last week and nothing to hunt right now. He still has three raccoon pelts to flesh and clean in the freezer. He finished the possum fur.

Morgan wanted to know when we were going to buy her a car and let her work it off with extra chores around the house.    When I stopped laughing long enough to tell her we weren't doing that and she would have to go get a job to earn money to buy a car she didn't find it quite as funny as I did.

That's about it. Going to go see how much I can catch up on.

SP, my condolences!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!! It was a good day. That was our date night. Hubby spoiled me!! And I have an Amazon cart slam full of stuff to spend my birthday money on. I need an Amazon intervention.

Well yuck on stupid people, and yuck on rain.

I'm drinking coffee and watching the birds. My motivation is around here, somewhere. I might look for it, but then again I might not.

I think my motivation may have taken a vacation with yours. If you find it send it back please.

Sometimes I miss smoking, and especially a good cigar. *sigh*

And...good morning!

I liked cigars too. I sometimes get curious and take a draw off my moms cigarette. Bleh!!!! That's all it takes to remember why I don't smoke now. Gross!!

Happy Birthday Tiff! :bday:

Thank you!!!

Yum! Is there any left?
Happy Birthday, Tiff! :bday:

Thank you!!!

RIP Judge Wapner from the People's Court.

Wasn't he like 90 something years old?

Happy Birthday, Tiff! :bday::bday:

Happy Birthday Tiff!

And happy birthday, Tiff! :bday:

Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you!!!

What awful news. :( I'm don't agree with not telling them. Sonny was so upset when he lost a grandma, but he did know she was dying and I think that made it a bit easier for him to understand. His cousin wasn't told and she was a mess for quite awhile. She thought everyone she loved was going to start dropping like flies on her. Poor kid. They handle things better when we give them as much information as they can understand. :2c:

Tiff needs to pop in and see her birthday wishes!

Taco salad for dinner. Quick, easy, it's a win. :)

I agree.
I'm here.Better late than never. :D

It's killing me to have stuff that does not match Stretchy. And they don't make a wrap for the limitless tanks, making it hard to find something. ugh.

I gave up matching long, long ago.

I'm so happy that you had a great birthday Tiff! And that you are doing better these days. :)

Thank you, FV! It was a very good birthday! Hubby is too good to me and it's so so nice to go out alone and have a whole evening to ourselves just to do something fun and relaxing. No arguing with your teenagers, cleaning up messes, or any other every day chores.

I'm glad too I'm doing better too! I still get worn out easily but that's just part of it and I've learned to adjust my life around it accordingly.

Well, amid all the frustration, I'm really proud of my team. They have seriously stepped up, and are doing a great job given all the issues we have had with contractors and suppliers and such. And as usually happens in tough times, I am seeing some of the quiet, under-the-radar types distinguish themselves as stellar performers. I'm making lists of people who are going "above and beyond" and am planning some reward/recognition for them. :)
It's always easier if the group steps up. I hate upheaval anywhere but especially when I worked. Everything is running smoothly at least coherently but then someone has an idea...I hate ideas..

We'll start camping in April, regardless. A little snow never stopped us from having fun.
So..what is it that you find fun in camping?...Firstly you're stuck in a 12x12 ft.room with Peggy...Me and Crabbypants would be sitting on opposite sides of the 12 ft couch arguing over whether to watch the Crucible or Survivor...Yeah we're that kinda opposite. Then there would be cooking...He grazes all day. Nuts, Berries, followed by a can of V8. I binge drink Pepsi's and get pizzed when he hides the fritos. He doesn't like the crunch. He doesn't eat after 5 pm so an under the moonlight grilled steak is totally out of the question. He goes to bed at 9:30.I;m just waking up...I did like taking the kids.We used to go once a year with a group from our town for a Halloween Campout...Good Times.Honestly I don't like going anywhere with him. He's not a barrel of laughs in any circumstance but in a 12 by 12 floor space someone would surely have to identify the bodies. I go someplace at least once a year with one of the kids. This year Hilton Head and Savannah...
