I'm enjoying the day. The wind is gusting occasionally that bad that I see the neighbors leaves blowing into our yard and they keep on going into somebody elses' yard. A freind of mind set me a text asking if I was going to go trap shooting today. Hum, no I'm having too much fun watching the leaves. He didn't get it...

Here no one needs a leaf blower. The key is not to live at the south end of the street. Nature takes care of making sure all the leaves (and everything else) get collected at the southernmost point.

In other news: our washer threw an error code and stopped working. We were able to reset it and re-start it. I did some research, and found out it's a communication issue between the central control unit and the motor control unit. Which means that if (when) it happens again, hopefully it's a connection issue, but could mean identifying and replacing a faulty board. Which means we might have to rely on my repair skills. Which means God help us.

Good morning!

The leaves here are are losing battle. Suck them up in the fall, suck them up again in spring. I just try to keep them out of the pond. Of course this morning there was a layer of ice with leaves imbedded in it. blech. We'll get it out this evening.

My washer locked my clothes in Rick and I ended up calling a tech. It was disappointing that he didn't look like the Maytag man from the commercials.

It's in the 20's in hutsville. brrrrrr......

I still have one I use...It's always been one of my favorites.

I only ever had one MVP. I liked it, used it a long time before it finally gave up the ghost. Unfortunately the integrated battery means it's only going to last so long.

I did some research on trouble-shooting and repair for mine. Hopefully I won't have to use what I learned, but my hopes are almost always dashed!

I like the internal battery's. I kinda look at it like this. 1 and 1/2 cartons of cigs a week cost x # $ Mod cost 1/2 to 1/3 that amount. If the mod last a week I have my money back +. Anything after thats pure prophet. Normally I get 2-3 years on these mods. I'm lazy like plug and vape.

No doubt about it being worth the money, especially when you consider what we would be paying to smoke these days. California just passed a TWO DOLLAR PER PACK additional tax. I feel bad for the smokers. I voted against it. I will never be one of those people who will vote for a tax increase on everyone else as long as they don't have to pay it themselves, and $2/pack in extra tax is ridiculous.

Wow! That's ridiculous. I noticed that a pack of Marlboro was on sale at $7.39 at the gas station. I can't say how happy I am to be a non smoker now. But taxing the carp out of smokers is awful.

Hey everyone! I'm waaaaay too behind to try to catch up. Did I miss anything good? The weather here is finally getting cool. I still had my a/c on in the car this afternoon on low though. It was 27 this morning though. Hubby went hunting for the day (shocker, I know, lol). He went a couple of weeks ago and got a deer and pig within an hour of each other. Got a freezer full of meat now and he made a ton of it in to sausage.

Staying busy here. Alex is still going to class three days a week. He's a grump! You can sometimes see him smiling or laughing at something but he tries not to let anyone see him do it. Not sure what that's about. Morgan is still home schooling. Not my favorite thing but it's going ok and she is making improvements in many areas over the past few months. Yaaay!!!!

I'm still not working. Continuing to look for something to do from home. I have a few leads that Alex's vocational rehab teacher sent my way. She said I should try to apply and qualify to take these same classes he's taking. Nah, I plan to go back to the grooming shop one day a week doing just a couple of dogs a day in a couple of weeks and see how it goes. Just going to ease slowly back in to it. It's slowly coming back together.

We're leaving Wednesday to go to our semi annual Thanksgiving family reunion trip from hill in Florida. We decided to NOT go the whole week. Neither one of us could bring ourselves to do it this year. We're going Wednesday and coming back Saturday. Still a couple of days too many for me. On the plus side of it, we did not receive a daily schedule this year and we weren't told to bring our own toilet paper. I'll bring some just in case. I'm not stressing over it all this year. Not worth it. I'll take my kindle and my phone and find a nice little hiding place on the nights there are a ton of people around.

Hope everyone is doing good!

Sounds like things are going well Tiff, I'm really happy to hear it. :)

Nothing too exciting over here: get up, do chores, shower, work, go home, eat, clean, sleep, repeat daily. Unless it's Sunday, then I clean more and bake. Darn, I didn't realize how dull I was until I typed it out.

Tiff! We missed ya around here! Glad to hear things are coming together for you. I don't blame you re: the family holiday thing...it sounds too gruesome to endure for a week. The Kindle thing is a good plan - reading lowers my stress level too.

Your washer locked your clothes in?.. That's down right scary..When washers start jailing one's clothes you have to rethink laundry mats.
