Punkin, Zojirushi is kind of the "Cadillac" of bread machines. They have a great reputation, but have always been expensive. You can get very good ones in the $100 range on Amazon. I have a Hitachi that I have had for 20 years or so, and has had hundreds of loaves through it. It still works great.

Here's the brand that Sallie has, I don't know if it's the exact one. At that price, I'll keep doing it my way.
Ouch! I know mine wasn't that much, but it's about 20 years old!

And I let it do regular bread all the way through, but I will do pizza dough in it and take out to either make a pizza or stromboli.

FRIDAYFRIDAYFRIDAY!!!! And the last day at work before a full TEN DAYS off! And it only cost me 4 days of PTO!

I've got one of my guys out on PTO, and the other is just piddling around the warehouse to justify his time on the clock. I'm hoping I can get him out of here by 2.

I have another family gathering this evening. I'm half hoping I get stuck at work so I dont have to go. Or at least long enough to be late. People always ask why I hate Christmas... This is a huge reason. Three weeks, five family gatherings. And it seems like we're the only ones who HAVE to make it to all of them.

Anywho. If I dont make it back on here before Sunday, I hope each and every one of you have a WONDERFUL Christmas.

James, I feel your pain and share your enthusiasm about 10 straight days off. I did the same thing - good investment of 4 vacation days to get 10 off in a row.

Things have been crazy here. However, today my crew should be able to leave on time (for a change - I had to run mandatory OT the last two days).

I'm torn on the family thing. Mine is all scattered, so no family get-togethers for me on the holidays. It will just be me, the Indian Chick, and my step-son. Saves on drama, but I'd give a lot to have my kids and grandkids around. They're all closer to you, in Wake Forest.

Happy Friday!!!!

Mad dash here to get orders out, the snow is falling fast and we're getting freezing rain on top of it this afternoon. We want to be safely home before that hits.

Not going to like that weather at all. Have a wonderful holiday if I don't get back in here, and that goes for the whole Posse!! :)

I like the safely home before the storm hits part. I hope you made it happen.

I am OFF...on VACATION. For a week. We got to send the crew home early today. Yeah, welcome to the Happiest Place. Two days of mandatory OT, then early-outs. If I could get our planners to understand what "planning" means, we could have a bit more sanity, but noooOOooOOoo. Based on forecast workload, I think my weekend managers will be able to early release their teams tomorrow and Sunday. I hope it works out that way. I have a rookie manager covering the operation tomorrow, so I am more or less 'on call' if he has any issues. Thankfully I don't have much to get done tomorrow, so if I need to help out remotely or pop in it won't be too big a deal. It definitely helps that I am about 20 minutes away from work if needed.

I am actually feeling Christmas-y this year for the first time in several years. And I hope all you are safe and warm and with those you love.

Good evening! Hope everyone is doing good! .

James, Morgan is learning to drive right now. She's learning on the truck because I'm too scared to let her drive my car. Hubby takes her to practice. We've decided the best thing to do for Alex to learn to drive is send him to a driving class. I'll be looking for one after the beginning of the year.

Dare I say it.....Morgan is doing really good! She's worked really hard to get to a better place. It's not completely where it needs to be but is going in a good direction and we're really proud of her.

Alex's vocational rehab class is over. Now it's time to find him a very small part time job and look into classes and certifications in computer programming he needs. It's possible that voc rehab agency will help pay for some of that. We're supposed to meet in January.

I'm still not back to work. Aiming for mid to late January.

Merry Christmas everyone and hope you have a great weekend!

We made it home! Now we're staying put for a few days. We stopped at the grrstore on the way and picked up a ham and a few necessities. Sonny and the wife will be here Sunday, so I have some serious hutwork to do before then. Mr. V delivers mail tomorrow, so I'm on my own. Yeeks!

Tiff, that is fantastic news all the way around. Except for the not working part, but that will come.

Victor and the coop creatures are all getting goodies. More than normal, as they are already spoiled.

Hooray for time off!!!!!!

Merry Christmas eve Day everyone! We hope everyone enjoys their time off from their busy schedules and have a good time with family. I always plan on taking my ear plugs with me when visiting my family on any holiday since my baby sister's babies have a bunch of babies of their own. Wow, that's a lot of babies. Mrs Punkin and I never had any of our own but got to see a little of what it might have been like. Lets just say I rather be a grandpa/uncle or great grandpa/uncle where you can go home to a quite house after you give all the kids candy and cookies and they are bouncing off the walls.

Well hubby insisted I open my present this morning instead of waiting. He said he didn't think I'd like the gift but that I needed it. So I'm thinking what the heck is it???..................

He wrapped each item individually, probably 20 little things. And at the end he handed me a large tactical looking back pack. He gave me all the essentials of a bug out bag/emergency essentials bag to keep in my car. First aid kit, umbrella, poncho, tarp, leatherman, knife, protein bars, lifestraw bottle, flashlights, batteries, emergency blanket, head lamp, and several other things. I'll add a few other things to it and put it in the trunk. They didn't think I'd like it. I do though! Very creative gift!

Sounds like fun times Pumpkin. Exactly how I like kids.
What she said.

That's a great gift Tiff!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone. :) I'm cleaning the hut as much as I can with the disasters we've created.
