anyone else have similar problem?

$18.03 Coppervape Skyline Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 4ml / 316 stainless steel + glass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
SKU 7935300

Had this less than 2 weeks. Refilled it maybe 13 times. Used juice flow only when filling. Stupid JF design with an internal 'door' that lowers via hidden threaded section. Threads got harder and harder to turn, now I basically need pliers.

Has 4.4 of 5 stars with 153 fasttech reviews, so hopefully I get a replacement and it's not the same defect. I don't mind buying another if it'll actually last. It might get replaced under warranty but I might have to pay return shipping to China.

I'm hoping if the replacement has the same defect that I could just cross thread the F out of it and it will still work but have some areas where it just skips threads that should be there thus giving me less options for JF in between fully closed and fully open, which shouldn't be a problem as long as it works.

If replacement has same problem, will consider Kayfun clone but I already bought the additional restrictor inserts for the skyline and o ring kit and a 10 pack of replacement glass.

So much has been written about this issue but here goes. I own 2 of these rta's. When dry the juice flow control is so tight that it can be near impossible to turn it. Yours may actually be a defect but there have been so many comments about this it is also possible that yours is no different then all the others. The solution for me was to unscrew the jfc from the bottom and lube it completely with 100%vg (no flavor) although you could use any high vg juice. You will get best results if you cover it or even dip it into vg. Then screw it back into place without tightening it hard all the way. After doing all that once you make your build and fill the tank the juice in the tank will help to lube the jfc. I only had to perform the complete lube procedure once when each were new. After that, juice in the tank would get it going although it is always stiff.

I have no idea if the original has this same issue. Many of the video reviews comment on this issue also.

Yep, I'd check and lube the orings inside the chimney and the one on the top piece that you remove to fill. At this point, you may need to replace that top one. No issues with any of mine unless I allow the orings to get dry.

Somehow its not deflect... I have same exp and really close look at this. Its a glass o ring... Its to tight and when you screw down the base on tube accidentally you grip the glass and push it down so when it completely attached the position is not 100% straight because the first problem, you accidentally hold a glass as a grip to asamble the tube to deck base.

ah thank you so much, I think it's fixed. I didn't know the whole juice flow 'door' could be removed until I just tinkered with it. I removed it and as shown, there's a black o ring on the stem with the threads you must have been referring to. Luckily my threads look un crossed. I will try it without that o ring but first I will lube it with straight VG because I don't want to break the o ring removing it and then it maybe having a problem from not having that o ring (although it seems to only be used for friction [which is obviously too large of an o ring and makes it feel like the threads are crossed]).

Maybe the original ~$200 skyline just has a thinner o ring and thus no problem for this. I'm not crazy about this JF design, would rather just the regular rotary type but if this works out then ok then.

For warranty, Fasttech wanted me to make a video and upload it to a 3rd party and link to them, then I think I'd have to pay %60 return shipping to get refund. For all that trouble, I would probably rather just sell this one as-is ('juice flow basically stuck open') if I didn't learn about the o-ring and then buy a new one for $18 or a kayfun clone.

China shipping to US is cheap for them (think 99 cent ebay items free shipping) but it's expensive the other way around so I don't want to go through the trouble.
But I was considering it if it would actually cause coppervape to correct the problem so no one has this problem but hopefully they'll find this thread or others have posted the o ring fix elsewhere on FT message board, reddit etc.

to remove the juice flow chimney and get to the o ring, I just kept spinning it and eventually it came off.

it's a combo of that small o ring on the threaded stem in pictures and the o ring on the top cap which you spin to open/close the juice flow which is also the top sealing cap.

I removed that small o ring on the threaded stem (have back ups with kit I bought for 99cents but was easy to do without damaging) and it still gets stuck because of the top cap o ring.

I can remove the o ring on the top cap also and it should hopefully open/close easily but then of course can possibly leak a tad if tank is upside down or lying on its side which I'm not too worried about but I'm worried if the top cap o ring is removed it will cause flooding due to a sort of vacuum effect.

I tested this (threaded stem o ring removed but not top cap o ring) with the tank just wet from water, so not nearly the lubrication of VG put on the top cap o ring, but I'll try a few different things, I usually lube all o rings with %90VG/10 PG/alcohol juice when reassembling (except for that internal one on the threaded stem) so hopefully just VG on the top cap o ring prevents this.

the o rings on the clone are pretty bad, apparently too thick and also loose from being too large. The air flow ring o ring is the same.
