I DIY more as a hobby than looking for that ADV. Flavorings can also be fairly cheap. It is amazing how far a $1.29 ml bottle of flavoring can go. Most of the cost of DIY is in the PG/VG/Nic.

Flavorless is not an option for me.

I would say I spend less than $15 a month on my vaping and that includes commercial juices. Plus, I'm a chain vaper.

Good luck finding your "sweet spot". :)
wow! you buy commercial.:shock:one of my favors is 4oz for i think around $20.

Yes, unless a lack of pleasure from flavor nudges one back to smoking.
I think you get used to flavorless. It actually has a mild flavor of its own, which I would compare to chapstick, slightly sweet from the VG. I use unflavored when I have to be around other people.

I continue to be ecstatic having NOT spent the $40/ week on smoking!!!!

I used to spend almost that in a day (two vapers, two packs per each).

Life in Fairfield County, USA. :\

Almost 10 years later, that's down to about $7 per day, but I could never spend another penny on vape-ANYTHING, and four family members will be able to vape at least until I die. If I were to amortize it out 20 years, it would be close to nothing.

That's not even to mention the "mod or two" I have sitting here.

Other than PG, VG and flavorings, same boat. Nice boat :) I was "only" about $60 a week on RYO the last few years I smoked, and they were making that more expensive then. Yes, pro-rating out the hardware (and nic stash) brings it to at most pennies a day.

Considering all the bans and restrictions (AND outrageous Tax in my State) I stock piled vaping related stuff years ago. However there are always 'consumables', namely:
    • Looking at my Amazon shopping history I see I buy a quart of VG ~twice a year
    • I vape mostly unflavored so my coils last 3-6mo, 6"-1ft of wire a year off a 10M spool is not going to break me (or anyone)
    • I do vape flavors from time to time, 1-3mL out of a 30mL flavoring bottle (I do 30mL batches, %1-10) makes the $4-10 30mL flavoring bottles last seemingly forever.
    • $10 spent at a local Sallys Beauty supply got me a multiple lifetime supply of Rayon for wicking my coils
    • Batteries, while I do have a stock pile of them they do wear out eventually. Considering that replacement cells Wholesale Li-ion Batteries | Liion Wholesale are a mere $5.86ea and lets say that I replace 2 of them a year the cost (with shipping) might be ~$20 a year
So grand total (for me) is ~$30 a year for VG (yes I KNOW there are cheaper options, I really don't care!) and ~$20 a year for batteries and just for fun will toss in ~$30 a year for flavorings brings MY grand total to ~$80 a year vaping related expenses.

However if we take into consideration the ~$50 a week I was spending on smokes (when I quit) vaping really does not cost me much of anything - even on a fixed income.

(Off topic rant) Frankly, for me personally I'm considering 'budgeting' for my video streaming addition. Consider that a entire season of a TV show might cost anywhere from $15-35 (once you go commercial free its almost impossible to go back to regular TV) the costs of video entertainment can add up quickly.

I would think the main thing is procuring nicotine base. I've got a 40 year supply :shock: it was a small "investment" but I'll likely never have to buy any nic ever again, and buying it in volume and mixing your own.. you save TONS of money. I can't remember what it costs me per month for my mixes but I want to say like 1 to 2 dollars.

Other than "normal" inflation, I don't see flavoring prices sky rocketing any time soon. Too many other uses. $8 for 4 ounces of concentrated flavoring isn't out of line, but you'd better really like that flavor to get that much at one time.

I buy my flavoring in the 16 oz. bottles. But since I only use 1 flavor, it makes sense. :D

I bought flavoring in 100ml bottles, and put 1ml of flavoring in a 30ml bottle of juice.
So the math is easy, a bottle of flavoring will make 100 30ml bottles of juice.
All in all, it costs me about 6c/ml for juice, and I vape 4ml/day (+/-)

I remember my dad saying "I'll be damned if I'll pay 25c for a pack of cigarettes" and I'm below that/day.

Bull City Flavors also carries the TFA Double Chocolate Dark in 4oz. bottles.

    Double Chocolate (Dark)-TFA

It's $8.99/bottle, but if you use coupon code ECF6 for 6% off = $8.45/bottle. That's $.45 more than Hempnetix, for the flavoring itself. However, the S/H cost is MUCH lower at BCF, than the $9.30 via FedEx at Hempnetix. BCF S/H for a single 4oz. bottle is only $3.75! So, the total cost delivered to your door = $12.20 versus $17.30 from Hempnetix.

If you ordered it when BCF is having a Sale (usually 15-20% off) ...the cost savings is even greater.

I order a few flavorings in the 16oz. size, because it's more cost efficient. But those are only the ones that I share with 2-3 friends who love them, too. So, the big bottle is used up in a couple years at most. However, with flavorings that are used less often or in smaller amounts...it's sort of "iffy" if a 16oz. size will remain good for as long as it takes to use it all. I unfortunately found that out myself, the hard way. So if you're the only one using the flavoring above, or you don't use much at a time...you might not want to buy it by the 16oz. bottle.

    Also, about this:
i'm done for this year.52 at heartland for vg/flav in January and 27 for some trons this month. there is always next year.

Are you talking about Tron-S tanks? If you are, you might want to PM me next year. ;)
