Cotton has been good to me over the past week, took two or there tries to get the right amount and can re wick in less than five minutes everytime - I think I paid 2.5 for a huge bag of organic cotton balls and split it with my cousin. I keep a cigar caddy with me (portable cigs humidor for 2 cigars, perfect fit for my provari, 2 batteries) and keep two cotton balls and two strands of kanthal in case I need to re coil or re wick :)

I had a Kayfun clone that I never even got 1 tank of juice finished in it ... Flooded no matter what wick I used in it.

Bought an original Kayfun, and have not had 1 problem with it

my clone didnt last a full tank either, the threads broke apart on the top. before that it was working great, no leaks or spitting and the flavor and vapor production were great. oh well, going to see if I can can a refund or store credit and get something else. Back to drippers for now:vapor:

I first tried the cotton balls. Too much trouble. Then tried the yarn. Worked great for the first 1/4-1/3 tank and then started gurgling. Then tried cotton cooking twine Buy 100% Natural Cotton 500-Foot L Cone Cooking Twine from Bed Bath & Beyond and have been a happy camper since.

I do boil (twice) as it is natural, unbleached.

The above is a testimonial for use on PT coils only, as I have not tried it on anything else. ;)

I've also tried bamboo thread and didn't care for it at all. Weird taste.

My work is in the same center as the BB&B so I went and got this and a 2oz shot glass marked in ml and oz for juice mixing. Pulled the wick out of a coil on my little RDA and had to pull a couple of strands off the twine. Didn't do anything to it, put it in the coil, dripped and it works great. 500 ft ought to last a while.

Thanks for the link.

Is there any difference between the peaches 'n cream and the sugar 'n cream yarns?

God only knows ... Peaches and Cream is a Walmart 'house' brand ... don't know who actually manufactures it.

Sugar n Cream is made by Lily and is not a generic store brand.

I know it says Made in Canada on the Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn. Not sure about the Walmart Peaches'n Cream, never had any.

I literally just got home from work after stopping at Michaels to try out the sugar n cream for myself. I built a 2 ohm coil for my kanger mini protank 2 v2 with the sugar n cream as wick and WOW what a difference! I mean so much more flavor and vape cloud even on MBV apple rings 50/50. I will definitely be using it from now on for my coil head builds. Organic cotton definitely for rda. I made a coil for my rda but I think cotton is the way to go for rda's. I did not boil the yarn I just made the coil head with 32 gauge kanthal 5-6 wraps with the sugar n cream as wick and bam instant goodness hope this helps

Oh and it said $1.99 but rang up $1.17 I guess it must be on sale either way it's awesome and the price was a plus although it's worth a lot more than the $1.99 IMHO cause you get so much like set for life lol

Wow. Completely missed that post. Thanx for the info. I will stop in there tomorrow and see what I can find. There is so much info on this site. It's great. Just a little overwhelming at first. I'll get there tho. Thanx again.

I'm thinking of trying out yarn myself, I have some cotton but they are a bit of a hassle to work with for me and I can't figure out the right amount either... at least not consistently. Question though... does it make a difference if its organic or not and is it really unsafe to not boil it first?? Btw... for those of you too lazy to find it at a store, there is Sugar n Cream white (lily) yarn on ebay, cost is $3.59 with free shipping... if you're willing to wait and pay a 'premium' since its cheaper at a store. I'll probably just order it so I don't have to drive to the closest fabric store. I'm in no hurry anyways.

I don't have a hard time finding the right sized tuff of cotton to use. I just used regular cotton balls, boiled twice, dried out, then put in a zip-lock bag. I think I slightly overstuffed one coil. never understuffed one.

what I look at is this... When you put the chimney onto an empty head, you see two square holes on each side where the wick should go thru. If your cotton just fills those holes, and you can't see into them, You have enough cotton. Mine doesn't really puff out at the outside of those holes. If you have major puff factor, too much cotton. Still kind of new, but that's been my experience.

Silica was: dry hits, gurgling, flooding, etc.
I could never get the peaches and cream yarn to work for me, gave up.
Started using organic cotton balls from Wallgreen's, un-boilled.
Hydrogen Peroxide is H202, Water is H20, no worries about an extra oxygen molecule.

Run my Anyvape Davide down to dry tank, no flooding, gurgling, or dry hits.
14 days and 30+ ml before re-coiled, (Light colored juice only).
Works on Vivi Nova too.

Don't twist up your cotton to "force fit", just twist the tip to get it started through the coil.
I just kind of press it into a roundish shape.
If it snags on the coil, you may, or may not, have too much, but you still want it kinda snug fitting.
You want the ends to be "very fluffy" when finished.
No flavor wicks needed either, and I can run 80/20 or 50/50.
Keep in mind this is with a micro coil, not a standard wrapped coil.

Yarn has made me very lazy, it's so easy I hardly use cotton anymore, boiling any cotton should only be reserved for idiots as it creates an environment for bacteria to grow, you should buy sterile cotton for wound dressing if you are so inclined, It's Also not rolled it comes in sheets and is easy to cut wicks out of.
