Hello all,

I've been a smoker for 16 years now and have been ready to quit for some time. At a mall recently, my husband and I were first exposed to the ecig at a Smoking Everywhere kiosk. We almost caved and bought the kit that day...boy am I glad we didn't after reading the posts here. From what I've gathered, I think the Joye510 is going to be the best product for me, but I'm just not sure yet. Here's what I'm looking for:

>looks like a regular cigarette
>I want to be able to "feel" it when I smoke, but not too harsh
>the ability to mix my own juice at a later date if I want (don't know enough about it yet to know if I want too)
>not too expensive

That's all I know that I'm looking for right now due to my lack of knowledge about ecigs in general. Any info anyone can give me would be very much appreciated! Thanks so much! Also, I'd like fast shipping. I'm ready!!!

There are lots of good ones, but this is a favorite choice of many vapers here.

I wouldn't say the 510 exactly looks like a cigarette, but its definitely close enough. Its a bit longer.

If you need the comfort of something that looks like a cigarette so its less obvious, white with a red or orange led will work. I went a bit different, I didn't want it to look exactly the same, so I picked up a black 510 with blue and green led's on my batteries.

The "feel", the throat hit, the vapor - thats relies alot on the juice, but the 510 will definitely be able to produce the vapor. You can mix your own, and refill the cartridges. Its also reasonably priced.

Its a good choice, I think - good luck :D

As I mentioned before, I'm VERY new to this. Could someone please explain what, exactly, a PCC is? Sorry... And thanks by the way for the quick replies!

A PCC is a Personal Charging Case. It's something that has a rechargeable battery inside it that will charge your e-cig battery up to around 4 times in a day. It will also hold an atomizer and a couple of cartridges. Great for a little charging power on the go.

A PCC is a personal charging case (about the size of a pack of smokes looks like a hard pack)...I bought hubby one because he was a 3 pack a day smoker. I think I need to get myself one because I was a 2 pack a day smoker. Basically what you do is charge up the Personal charging case (PCC) via a usb port on your computer or with an adapter and do it through the wall then you can take it with you and put your battery inside of it to charge during the day it also holds either 3 carts or 2 carts and an extra attomizer.

The Joye510 is too thick to look like a regular cigarette. But it does boast of many cool accessories. I recommend the Mseries that by far works best for me. A USB Passthrough is a must.

How many cigarettes do you have a day?

how many minutes do you need to end a cigarette?

What is your cigarette brand?

can you smoke at home?

can you smoke at work?

Speak your heart and you re goona get a good answer

I smoke between a pack and a half a pack a day.

It takes me about 5 minutes to smoke if I'm not doing anything else.

I currently smoke outside at home because of the kids.

Smoking at work (more than I do now, hiding behind the building) is not an option. I'm a high school teacher.

My preferred brand is Camel No. 9, but I've been switching back and forth between those and Pall Mall lights because of the price difference.

Welcome to the world of vaping and gratz to you and yours for taking the step. :)

I just wanted to throw this in here:
- I *thought* I wanted an e-cig that looked like a real cigarette also. I had one of the pen types for so long I thought having one of the 'small ones that looked really real' would be great.

I found that to be much more of an annoyance while I am out and about with it than not. Either people think I really am smoking and I have to explain it, or old friend raz me that I'm back on 'em and I have to go through it all again, etc.

When I had to exchange my SE for a bad atomizer I got the Maroon or Red colored one. Much better. People are more often curious rather than accusatory, etc.

Just food for thought. Otherwise I have not owned a 510 personally, but from what I have read on these forums I doubt you could go wrong.

Take care,
- Hap

Siap,

You sound just like me - my list of requirements were exactly the same, and my introduction to e-cigs was identical - a kiosk in a mall. I also have a few years more of smoking under my belt - over 25 years total.

After talking to many people here, and a few suppliers, my choice was a 510. Even though it didnt match the size/look requirement - performance was higher on my list than aesthetics.

I recieved it today and I am more than pleased for the small investment I made. (less than half than the mall)

The "hit" so far is decent, and I havent had an analog all day!
I cant honestly say that i havent reached for one or two...

I was talked out of an automatic in lieu of a manual and I am glad I was, I like the control. I was AMAZED at the amount of vapor/smoke and it is just getting better throughout the day.

I have been vaping all day and really am enjoying it. The thing I am going to have the hardest time with, is adjusting to having batteries.
I have been really watching and I think I will need 4+ spares to make me through my day at work and the drive home.

I know now I will need a passthrough, as well as a wall charger, more batteries - and a lot of samples of juice.

From what I understand your choice of juice is as important as your e-cig.
I can tell I will be getting some trial packs, to find that right fit.
The VG type that was bundled seems a bit "sweet" for me although it is growing on me.

My wife tried it and is already asking where hers is... great. Coffee/mocha - I know it... and she will use all my charged batteries and not recharge - just to get back at me for not replacing the toilet paper.

You may want to consider the Vapor King. It is a KR808D-1 model. It is a two piece (instead of the common three piece), meaning the atomizer is built into the cart. You just twist on the flavored cartomizer to the battery and start vaping. VAPOR4LIFE.COM sells the Vapor King and the starter kit comes with lots of xtras, like a usb passthru, a PCC, two batteries (6 diff colors), usb charger, wall charger, carry case, 5 cartomizers, etc. Also check out the vapor4life thread here in the forum and see the reviews. Their customer service and shipping are the best. Since I have started using the Vapor King, my other pv's havent been used. The throat hit and vapor production are excellent and the flavors are outstanding. But whatever you choose to vape with I want to wish you good luck in your vaping adventure (it is wonderful). GOOD LUCK ! ! !

I love my 510 and I like both batteries. If you buy a white one with a red led light it will look like a benson hedges or marlboro light 100's. The manual is what I started with, but I also like the automatic, just have to be careful not to overfill carts or you will get liquid in the battery and burn it out. If you were out at night or 20 ft from someone smoking an automatic white 510 nobody would know it wasnt a real cigarette. You can sometimes get kits with one auto and one manual battery, you just might have to ask about that before ordering, or order an extra battery because when you are trying to quit smoking having no battery will have you pullling into 7-11 for a pack of analogs. I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day for 30yrs, and smoked 4 cigarettes the first two days, and by the 7th day smoked no more, now I vape. Best part was no withdrawals, keep your regular cigarettes handy, maybe a brand that your not so fond of and start with the e cig and when you find your not satisfied pick up a real one, if it is not your brand you wont be totally satisfied either and will find yourself picking up the e cig more and more, makes quitting or cutting back really easy

Hello siap:

Welcome to ECF. Have you read this yet? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...buying-using-electronic-cigarette-primer.html It is still being worked on by Deadcat, but still has great info. for you.

I would reccomend the Janty Dura-C for a starter personal vaporizer for you. The warranty is great. It is the tube type personal vaporizer I use in public and on special occasions. I would say it would be the closest of the tube types to Camel and Pall Mall that you are smoking. It is still small enough to be discrete. Make sure you get manual batteries for the best experience, (closest to analoge).

The Dura-C, 510, Titan, Yeti and Versus are manufactured to be simular. Actually the Dura-C is the first, the rest are copies of it. The Dura-C has proven it's self that is why the others copy it.

All the best to you.

Ok, you are a chain smoker or vaper, you do not enjoy smoking because you don't have time to smoke so you puff to fast to finish your cigarette, a 901 is not bad but it has a cut off time it is not for you, a 510 allows you to puff along as you want that makes that a charge on a battery does not last for too long, so a 510 and more thant 3 batteries for a day woud be perfect,YOU ARE USE TO GET HOT SMOKE FROM ANALOGOS SO YOU NEED HOT VAPOR FROM E CIG,remember now you are going to be vaping (smoking) behind walls
