Twist. You can up the voltage to what ever it takes to make your carto or atty's or clearomizers work to their optimum performance. This means better vape, less frustration. Too bad there is only one in the kit though. Maybe order a cheap spare unregulated battery for back up. Then you will see what you would have vaped and be happiest with your variable volt. It's a good way to start and when you know more about your habits you can move up to something not do disposable. The mods are getting more affordable all the time and you just change batteries out. They should last quit awhile depending on how it gets treated.

I started out with 2 650mah eGo's in a kit from Mister E Liquid. Now that I can look back on it I will have to agree with the members above on the Twist. It offers variable voltage so you can dial in the voltage that you need for the atty's, clearo's, or carto being used. Might have to contact them about shipping to Canada. Wish I could be more help for Canadian suppliers.

Here is the exact kit I started with:

Thanks so much for your replies. We'll definitely go with the twist then.
I wouldn't say I'm attached to this vendor at all. I was excited because shipping time would be next day whereas right now, I'm having to deal with shipments from Greensmoke in Florida & it's a killer sometimes. We never know how long it will take. I'm in South Eastern Ontario. Maybe it's the border holding things up. Ugh.

Don't Like. A starter kit should be a way of getting individual components at a cheaper price than separately. These kits are too expensive. Also looks likes one of those very impersonal reseller sites- like Greensmoke or something.

Have you gone to a Canadian thread? Your Canadian friends ought to be able to point you to the best suppliers in your country.
