Ok, here's a place to post Christmas recipes, crafts and gifts. Any special traditions would be welcome too!
We will start a virtual Christmas gift exchange when we get closer to the big day. I will start a new thread to post links to fun Christmas related sites.

Merry Christmas To My Female Friends

If I were ol' Santa, you know what I'd do
I'd dump silly gifts that are given to you
And deliver some things just inside your front door
Things you have lost, but treasured before.

I'd give you back all your maidenly vigor,
And to go along with it, a neat tiny figure.
Then restore the old color that once graced your hair
Before rinses and bleaches took residence there.

I'd bring back the shape with which you were gifted
So things now suspended need not be uplifted.
I'd draw in your tummy and smooth down your back
Till you'd be a dream in those tight fitting slacks.

I'd remove all your wrinkles and leave only one chin
So you wouldn't spend hours rubbing grease on your skin
You'd never have flashes or queer dizzy spells
And you wouldn't hear noises like ringing of bells.

No sore aching feet and no corns on your toes
No searching for spectacles when they're right on your nose
Not a shot would you take in your arm, hip or fanny
From a doctor who thinks you're a nervous old granny.

You'd never have a headache, so no pills would you take.
And no heating pad needed since your muscles won't ache.
Yes, if I were Santa, you'd never look stupid

You'd be a cute little chick with the romance of a cupid.
I'd give a lift to your heart when those wolves start to whistle
And the joys of your heart would be light as a thistle.
But alas! I'm not Santa. I'm simply just me
The matronest of matrons you ever did see.

I wish I could tell you all the symptoms I've got
But I'm due at my doctor's for an estrogen shot.
Even though we've grown older this wish is sincere
Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year!

My mother has lots of pecan trees in her yard. I am lucky enough she ships them to me ..this year I went to visit and had the joy:lol:of picking them up myself and shelling them. My hubby loves this recipe:

3 cups Pecan halves
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Cream (yep full fat cream not half and half)
dash of cinnimon (dont have to but I like it)

Grease a cookie sheet (if the cookie sheet is dark line it with foil too). Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Spread out on the cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 20 min or until surgar is chrystalized stiring them after about 10 min. Hint: Mine usually takes no more than 15 min so watch carefully.

It is a very pretty tree! Nicely modern. But look at the far left, the 3rd ornament down from the top..doesn't that look like the playboy bunny logo? The bottom right is a square with dots on it...dice! LOL! I thought maybe your tree was from Vegas..:p Now my eyesight isn't what it used to be, so angles are probably playing tricks on me.
I can tell you one thing, your tree may be non traditional but it's still beautiful and classy.
But non traditional trees can go very wrong...my Aunts late 1950's pink flocked tree with flamingos on it was a pepto bismol eyesore! It didn't help a bit that she used a multicolor lens to throw light on it...my eyes are still sore from that!
