Has any one received counterfeit batteries from cvapor?

I just got green samsung inr18650 25r batteries from them, as well as panasonic ncr18650b. I ordered ncr18650b before realizing how low the cdr was.

I see the max weight for Samsung 25r is supposed to be 45g, well....these ones weight 45.2 and 45.3g.

Im having a hard time finding accurate weights for the Panasonic ncr18650b. Ive seen 47g, 48g, 45g and a couple other figures. These ones weight 45.5g and 45.8g.

I ordered the geekvape mech pro, and a few other things, so i figured id get some batteries as well. Since my other mods are all built in batteries, i needed batteries so may as well get them while placing the order. Now i regret it.

Can anyone tell me if these are acceptable? I imagine not with the Samsung since they are over the max, eventhough it is just slightly, its still over. Has anyone had issues with fake cells from cvapor? They have great customer service, but that means nothing if they're selling counterfeits.

I highly doubt that you can tell anything from such a small difference in weight. Could even be a flaw with your scale. In general, it can be very difficult to find out if a battery is counterfeit or not. Your best bet is to see how they perform. Do they have the capacity they're supposed to (discharge and charge with a charger that has a mAh meter, such as an Xtar vc4 or Opus btc3100), do the batteries get too hot below their amp rating. The best thing to do is to buy batteries from a trusted vendor.

This is why where you buy batteries is just as important as which batteries you buy.
For your normal vaper it can be difficult to accurately assess whether you got fake / counterfeit cells or authentic's.

Are you talking about a local B&M named cvapor or the online vendor based in China?

Batteries are the very last place to try to save a few dollars, they are the most important part of vaping safley.
No reason to take chances when most times authentic cells from a reputable vendor/dealer are very near the price of the places that sell questionable quality.

I buy my cells here ---> Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic

I highly doubt its my scale thats off. I use it frequently and it always been on point. I also jus recently calibrated it a couple of days ago.

I have a nitecore itellicharger i4. Which doesnt have these features. As said earlier, these are the first batteries i have ordered since my other mods have built ins. Also my first charger. I did do a quick search on the company and these products before i bought them and coildnt find many if any complaints. I jus ordered some lg batteriers from 101vape. Im sure ill be gettin another charger to keep up with all these batteries in the near future. I will look into the ones mentioned.

I was reading somewhere, before i got the batteries, that eventhough its only off by such a little bit, its still above the max rating, and the max rating is there for a reason. They can be lighter than the max by quite a bit, but should never be over, not even by just a little bit.

They are an online china base company. I did a lot of research on the company before i made the order. The only problems ppl had with them is they sent passwords in full text years ago but fixed that immediately when it was brought to their attention when they first started out, like 8-9 years ago. Other than that, i couldnt find any complaints about the company. Figured if they been around that long, and couldnt find anything else ppl complained about, it should be fine. Also didnt really save on the batteries. Some of the other things i bought were quiet a bit cheaper, but their batteries were right around what most places get.

I was going to over an 8pack of the 25r's from gearbest for like $28, but figured if they are that cheap, somethings got to be up. Especially they arent strictly a vape site or battery site, but sell pretty much everything. Figured should prob stay away from that until i can dig further into it. Im all for saving money, arent we all, but i do get weary when such important things are so much cheaper than most places, which is why i figured it would be ok to order from this site.

I haven't bought from Cvapor, but I'd be wary of an 8 pack for $28, even for China. They could be brand names and could also be cells that passed testing on the low end. I really don't know how they could sell at retail that cheap in lots of 8.

Here's BatteryBro's Samsung 25R specs for testing. His knockoff 25R weight tested very low. He has several other criteria for judgement in the article linked below.
Is it a fake 18650 battery? (Featuring the Samsung 25R)
I put a dot on the battery so I don't mix them up. This is what the first battery weights in at - 43.63 grams. The nominal specs say the 25R should be 45.0g max and nothing else. So the first cell checks out fine.

I don't worry much about battery knockoffs, but I only order batteries from www.imrbatteries.com or www.RTDVapor.com. For the $5 to $7 price I pay for verified genuine brand batteries it's not worth it to take a chance. Mooch has mentioned batteries sent to him from IMR and RTD for verification. HG2's were among them.

I have four Samsung 30Q's on the way from RTDVapor. RTDVapor states in their site that they only buy from trusted suppliers that they've used for years and they check incoming stock for quality before it goes up for sale. I have to believe that they know what they are doing. Almost every battery I own comes from their site and the markings match the battery counterfeit test sites that I've seen.

I buy vaping hardware from China sources, but I don't buy batteries from them.

There are just too many fake/counterfeit/lesser quality & re wrapped erroneously labeled cells floating around on the market to make it worth my while & seriously the $1 - $2 difference for something that should last at least a year, most cases 2 years or more.

When using a re wrap should be xx cell you have to keep in mind they can & frequently do change what cell they use under their wrap.
With re wraps the cell mooch tested may not be at all what you received.

These are considered reputable vendors for cells, I wouldn't recommend purchasing cells from anywhere else.
It is still up to the user to select cells that are at least sufficient to safley support their vaping preference.
Best to avoid all re wrap cells.

My personal first pick is always the same --->Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic
