Sailorman, I think you've gotten confused. I don't have a mini. What I've been using is an RN4072 pen style, and it uses cartridges with a batting-type stuffing. I have ordered both a Kgo and a Lea Kross but neither have arrived yet. I did receive a new DES801 that I got for a really good price just to have as a backup, but it's practically identical to the RN4072.

The cartomizers you mentioned at surevapes come in two styles, one says SR and is 3.0 ohm, the other says LR and 2.0 ohm. I'm guessing the one I should get is the LR to use with the Kgo, right? And if cartomizers are worth trying then I'm thinking I should maybe go ahead and get some now, even if I won't be trying them out right away, just because they're on sale for $12 less than normal.

Devilwoman (love that name by the way)
Thanks, Pappy. I had a former boss who gave everyone nicknames. This is the one he gave me.

I also meant to add that you should listen to Sailorman. He dispenses a LOT of good advice here, and he knows what he's talking about.
In the just the few days I've been frequenting this forum I've noticed that! I also really like the line he has at the end of all his psots.

O.k., I've seen those "cartridges" and the thing is, they're cartomizers, not the kind of cartridge that you'd use in with a separate atomizer in a 3 piece rig. They just call them cartridges, the same way the mini-cig manufacturers do, so that noobs will have an idea of what the heck they're talking about. The word cartridge would mean that it's the type of thing that you could just pull the polyfill out, wash it and stuff it back in. A cartomizer doesn't work that way. I mean, it's possible, but it's not really something you'd want to attempt. You can still clean them like any other cartomizer as long as you can get the cap off.
The threading on those cartomizers aren't compatible with other devices. So you definitely need to have 510 cartomizers for your kGo.

Yes, you want the 2ohm Low Resistance (LR). The 3.0 ohm Standard resistance is for higher voltage
Unfortunately, they don't carry the 1.7ohm Smoketech carto. If you can get some of those, you should. A lot of people feel that they're even better than the Boges. Maybe your friend can pick some up with his order so you'll have an even number. lol.

After thinking about it most of yesterday I decided this morning to go ahead and order the bulk Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers from the vendor sailorman suggested. I'm glad I waited as the vendor dropped the price from $23 shipped to $22. Not a big change, but every little bit counts. That means each one is only costing about 88 cents.

Next question, I've read where some people have had good luck cleaning and reusing cartomizers, and others have not. What are your thoughts on that, and, if you've successfully cleaned and reused them, how do you go about it?
