Some tanks are thoughtfully designed to work equally well with drop ins and rba head. You have to take the time to learn which ones do both successfully. Can't deny the convenience of being to keep a drop in coil handy for those days you forgot to rewick or are feeling lazy. That being said I do prefer my dedicated rtas.

Using the same batteries, tanks, and coils on both mods.

I attribute the better battery efficiency to the DNA processor of the JAC. What else could it be?

I didn't know anything about the Segelei. The difference is striking. That DNA chip is much more efficient, thanks.

I got the Segelei to replace a Wismic RX200 whose 510 connector became wonky. I did my research and learned the Segelei has a reputation of exagerating the full power output of their regulated mods, and the TC mode sucked. I didn't care if it couldn't put out 213 watts, I only vape a little above 30 watts and don't use TC. I liked the looks, the large colorful LCD screen which showed real time battery voltage of both batteries. I fully expected to get more than a day's use with 2 batteries, but sad to say...:( Anyway, its a more than adequate backup mod.

I read the great ECF reviews on the JAC Vapour, got it, and the rest is history.

RBA tanks like the toptank mini are very good tanks if you are into single coil around .3 to .6 ohm. I have several tanks with decks but use the toptank more than most of them. The flavor and vapor volume is quite good. The flavor is better with the RBA on it than the drop in coils available for it. You can get several rba for it and just make the coils for them all at once. Then you have a ready supply of drop in coils for it.

The tanks with decks that are also single coil that I like best of the ones I have are the OBS Nano and the Coppervape skyline clone. Both easy to build and tasty.

It could be that, and it could be the low voltage cut off for the device that's giving up sooner. Some mods stop the party at 3.2v. Some as high as 3.4v. Both could boast a 95% efficiency rate and have different run times.

I thought about that too but that's like a 10 percent difference not 100.

I agree. Although I've found the sweet spot on my Serpent Mini. That's my only deck-based single coil RTA. I don't have any atomizers running below 0.25 (Goblins) or more than 0.60 (Serpent).

And speaking of Sigelei... I have a 22mm and a 24mm Moonshot. Fantastic flavor tanks that can take some hefty coils for those into pushing bigger clouds. Not fun to build on without a way to keep the deck still, though.

I was thinking about it as an "and." As in perhaps the Sigelei mod has a high cutoff and lower efficiency. Jac has it the other way.

Love my Moonshot, great flavor, agree it's a PITA to build. Don't know if you've tried it, but the smaller allen that comes whith it goes through the air slot/ hole in the pin/ air slot to help hold it.

I had a hard time getting the AFC off, so I just straightened a paper clip and keep it in the building toolkit. :)
