Couple of Russian 91% Issues

Hey All,

This is for an original Russian 91% without the spring loaded centre pin.

1. Firstly I get juice coming out of the airflow adjustment hole? The screw itself it fairly loose can and can easily be moved with a toothpick

2. The centre pin is screwed in well to stop the post from moving around, however this means the centre post screw (that makes contact) is loose and my resistance is all over the place, and if I do screw it properly it wont make contact with my device? Seems like a lose lose situation because if I move the centre pin down a bit the post becomes loose?

Both issues materialized after a while and weren't there from day 1.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi Sna,

Did you buy the R91 new or used? New, they came with some super tiny orings (O -actual size).

I used the rings to take the wiggle out of the adjustable pos contact. (Just checked, I have two in place and the POS pin is "snug" with about .5mm reveal. )

When I have a leaky 91%; take it to bits, wash, dry and reassemble usually sorts it.

I bought it new and just put on a second tiny O ring, wiggle gone!

But the airflow adjustment screw is very loose which is baffling me. I have taken it apart and cleaned it to no avail.

Mine is loose also, I put a small piece of 34AWG in the hole and screwed the grub back in; it's still loose, but holds it's position.
I'm sure some teflon tape or a wrap or two of a rizla might do the same job.
