Here is something rare to see and hear.
A generational sharing.
Randy Sharp has always been an inspiration to me being from my home town of Visalia CA.
I remember recording at his home studio when his daughter Maia was little more than a rug-rat being shy and very careful to stay out of the way. Now look at what she's gone and done...with a little help from dad.
Look at the two of them. Father and daughter wrote this tune:

YouTube - Maia Sharp at Kulak's Woodshed: Singer Songwriter Music

Dixie Chicks Cover:

YouTube - An evening with The Dixie Chicks - A Home

I expect most people will pass this over as just another post but if you "get it" please say so. It's important to me. It's personal.

I'm not gonna add any videos now. But, this topic came up at work today. My assistant likes country, which I can tolerate ... although I prefer older stuff from the 60s and 70s. She put it on a modern country station. I swear, fully 40% of the songs I heard were covers of songs I knew. And, a good portion of those covers were of old Southern Rock songs. And, even a couple down and out rock songs.

Can't they come up with more original stuff?
