So a friend of mine just ordered two pair of CR2 batteries from some random supplier from China I believe (I forgot to ask him where exactly he got them from).
He noticed some interesting text on the back of the batteries however that reads: "High rate discharge, no memory effect. Short circuit, over charge, and discharge protection; PCB life is around 10 years, it is green."
The pair of CR2 batteries I own say something completely different: "WARNING - The voltage of full charge and cut-off discharge is 3.6V and 2.0V. Don't heat, incinerate or reverse polarity."
These are both UltraFire CR2 batteries, and the only difference between them is mine are 600mAh and his are 800maH.
Pretty much the question we both have is - does anyone know if these batteries he received are actually protected batteries? The text on his that catches my eye is "Short circuit, over charge, and discharge protection". This has lead us to believe that they are in fact protected, but neither him nor I claim to be battery experts by any means. I'm hoping someone here knows a little more about batteries than we do and could possibly shed a little light on this for us.
I'll include some pictures to show you the difference between the two sets of batteries.
Thanks so much!
