Cracking and Popping.

I understand a flooded atomizer that gurgles. What causes the popping and crackling? Is the atomiser not getting enough liquid and if so, is this caused by too much or not enough wick?


Sorry , I should mention I'm using Kanger Protank 2...

A little extra flavor wick might help some but I'm with the other posters--popping & crackling means it's working. The coils I've re-wicked with cotton are really loud but boy do they work!

Almost? Right before this I got a shot right behind my teeth the thing popped so hard.

I love microcoils.

You may have your wattage/voltage set too high for your coil. Or, you may not be drawing (pull) enough to get liquid into the coil. The popping crackle sound others have mentioned normally happen when you just fire the atty or on drippers.

From what I've found it has to do with hot spots on the coil. Granted the pops and crackels have no real effect to the quility of vaper you recieve. Thats on a microcoil btw.

its just the juice heating up on a clean coil,VG pops a lot more then PG

I'm using a Kanger Mini right now. It's popping away!! It's a good thing. I also use 1.8 coils.

I am glad someone asked this question because I was about to. I am glad to know it is normal. Now I will come to enjoy the popping. I also use a Kanger Protank Mini II.
