Craft brands Less Sweet

I'm so new to this, that after reading the posts that say my tastes will change, I expect people will say, Deb - your tastes will change. And you may be right.

I smoked Newport lights for most of my smoking life. (Started at 11. And hey I looked very cool with my high top keds and my cigarettes) But I quit about five years ago (this time.) I just missed it.

An Altsmoke just opened near my job and I couldn't resist. I bought Evo Hybrid. They said it's most like a Newport Light. I like it! They said I'd want something else soon. I'm not sure.

So, I've done a little sampling. And so far, I like the things I thought I would like and I didn't like the things I didn't think I'd like.

I've fallen in love with five pawns Perpetual Check. I didn't the Lucena, Gambit or Grand Master.

I liked the Standard G-35.
I liked Cyclops Posidon.

I'm waiting for Tuesday to buy a sampler from Alice in Vapeland, (Trying Cherry Blossom Tea, White Rabbit, Frost Blossom, Afternoon Tea, Mystic Mandalime.

So, my question is, what brands and flavors would you suggest (more natural the better) that are not extremely sweet and not creamy or too desserty.

My first love was kings crown "claim your throne' but it got too expensive. Then on to the fruity flavors, not liking them anymore. My tastes did change, now I am always searching for a good, yet mild tobacco, have yet to find a real good one other than unflavored nic, which I really enjoy now. I wish I could help other than that, but..... The flavor search for me has become frustrating!

Does anyone else do florals?
I collect perfume and I really like the things were the smell is something between taste and smell. Not so much the recent trend for butterscotch perfumes, but things like lemongrass or saffron or fresh rosemary or rosewater where something smells between edible and perfume. I ordered some samples from ECBlends and the things that really caught my eye were the florals. Does it translate well into vapor?

The description on the Wakonda is sort of non-existent. Just tobacco? Any residual sweetness?

I have to say though, the roundhouse looks fascinating. So does the hummingbird.

Alot of the fruits do appeal to me, if they don't seem too candied or strong.

I would suggest Potion Vape for true fruity flavors... More Plum was very good, I have tried a few others and have not been disappointed.

I've tried a few florals that I didn't really care for. Honey @ Nola Vape was a spot-on wildflower honey flavored juice that had serious floral undertones! It is a bit sweet, so I suggest mixing it with a less sweet, light fruit flavor. It is excellent with their Ponchatoula Strawberry, Pear, Wild Blueberry, Apricot, or Black Cherry juices.
Also, check these out:
Cherry Blossom e-liquid
Hibiscus e-liquid
Green Tea and Hibiscus e-liquid

and for a mixed spice flavored juice:
Christmas Blend e-liquid

For tobacco and non-sweet (although they do some sweets) one vendor I buy from is Heather (Heather's Heavenly Vapes)

They offer a sampler pack of 4 X 3ml samples which allows you to try a lot of flavors for a very reasonable $10.

They've been around a long time, their liquids are really good quality and their customer service is second to none. An excellent vendor.

Thanks! I'll check out all three.
(And that honey is very intriguing though likely yes, sweet)

I've been really happy with Nola Vape. You can pick your pg/vg ratio and nic level. They sell 10ml bottles for around $5, and their 30ml bottles are all around $15 or so... I've only tried a few flavors that I really didn't care for... as with any juice, steeping helps. Their juices are pretty tasty right out of the vape-mail box though!

Just in case you don't know about steeping, here's a link. It can make a lot of different juices taste a whole lot better... fruity vapes tend to need less steep time for me....
Seanchai - What is steeping and how do I do it?

The first year is usually the most expensive depending on how attracted to the "shiny's" you are.
It take a while to build up your equipment, because you need back up for back up, and then more back ups :p
Once you have a good supply, for everything you like, then the cost goes away mostly.
Then, ... when you get into rebuilding your own wicks so you don't have to buy them, and making you own juice so you don't have to buy it, it gets temporary expensive again.
But you can get to the point that your vaping juice for about 2 cents a ml, and you have everything else you will need.
Then the $$ starts building up again, and you'll break even and start saving.
Besides, it's a fun hobby, and you have something for your $$ and your health back again.
It can be fairly cheap, or expensive, depending on your choices.
Welcome, and enjoy.

Hi, thanks.
This DIY thing sounds a bit intimidating.
Do people start making their own juices too? Or just building their own coils, or um thingies?

Yeah, a lot of people make their own juices, build their own coils, etc... I did DIY juice for a while, I'm in a phase now where I'm just buying juice... that gets expensive with my current mods (I go through 200-300ml a month). I do build my own coils/wicks. I bought a lot of new gear this year, but in past years I spent very little... really, it all depends on what YOU want to do on your path. You can mix your own juice, or you can buy juice. You can build your own coils, or you can buy pre-built coil packs. There are a LOT of options... :D
