OMG your blog just made me want to try all those juices. Very nicely done. I like your thought process and that you kind of address the "new to vaping" juice trying frenzy. It happens and yeah, when you're done, you want to be more selective. I don't see that as snobbishness. It's like educating your palate. Good luck with your blog and let us know when there's updates! Congrats

Dan1boy-yep, saw that on reddit I think 2 nights ago, I commented it's a great write up, you are great with words-hope that pulls more interest ; also saw interest on the ZB thread recently, think someone told them about the CV thread too:). Hey, we have debra and malkinmania71 to join the east coast cv'ers's-yay-I see Malkinmania 71 is also from PA-yay!!! Are you east, central, or west PA?(I'm SE, closer to Philly-suburbia) CV is a great service for both new and not new vapers alike, you can tweak your profile as you go along too and discover your likes/dislikes. Just sent my PA email to Casey from the CASAA call to action-ugh, I'm not very articulate normally, let alone in the morning, but wanted to get something in at least because I still haven't had time to compose my official write-up, need to do that today or tomorrow, once the mental fog rolls out-saw it posted by CV on fb yesterday actually. also livid that I saw a woman purchasing cigs at wawa yesterday with her PA access card-wth???!! it's ok to buy cigs with welfare monies, but vaping is getting all this govt nonsense/restrictions, the media makes a big "to do" over vaping and doesn't bat an eye about this??!!!-don't make sense to me really(yeah off topic, but I am really ticked about it! I never thought it was true until I saw it with my own eyes-I can understand food, meds, housing, health care, cigs and booze-no). and yeah, thanks to the cv King, I'm looking at more (clone) mechs too-yeah, along with taifun gt still...thinking nemesis or stingray, ya' know make a larger first ft order. How you two cleaning/polishing your King, catmomma and Coelli? Brasso? Cape cod cloths? I am LOVING it, really. Surprised I appreciate a mech so much, it really rocks. It hits well, it's solid, it feels good in my hand and am just really happy with the performance.

I'm in the Southwest corner of PA. Very rural, so vaping hasn't really caught on too much yet. Its about 30 minutes to the local B&M.

baseballmom -

Uh-oh, CV has created a monster! Muahaha. Once you start with the mods, it's hard to stop. I'm SO happy you're loving the King and mods in general. I know you were a teeny bit apprehensive at first. I know the idea of clones is an issue with some folks, but I unfortunately don't have the budget to buy original mods. Plus some clones are really good quality now. My King is my treasure and I love it more than any other one I own, but I have several clones as well. The Nemesis was my first and it's a good one, I'm not sure I like the locking ring as much. The one I really love, surprisingly, is my Sentinel. I have a brass one I got from FT for a really good price and I turn to it often. I love the button on it cause it recesses. I also love my Turtle Ship. If you get the Nemesis, be sure to get the magnet kit for the firing button, it's easy to install and makes it better. There's vids on You-tube that show you how-to. For cleaning I just use Jeweler's Rouge cloth and I also make sure to clean the contacts as well. If you do place an FT order, buy some drip tips. They are super cheap on there and are the same ones most places sell at a huge markup. Other than the boutique ones that are more hand-crafted, they have just about any type you can possibly imagine.

That was a great writeup!! And you're so right that we all go through that process of trying to find something decent. :)

As soon as I saw your description of Dipstick I read it out loud to my boyfriend and his eyes lit up. He's 43 and STILL loves Dipsticks (just the sticks, not the powder). My daughter gets the Valentines that come with a bunch of Dipsticks and gives him the extra every year. He was like "I'm finding that and ordering it RIGHT NOW." :D

Baseballmom, I haven't really had to polish the King yet - I'm one of those freaky people who seem to polish metal with their hands, it's stayed polished just from handling it. The copper contacts I just drop in some citric acid and water for a couple of minutes (I keep it around in the kitchen anyway). I did get some Cape Cod polishing cloths but haven't really needed to use them.

Cranky99 - I will probably put my old avatar back at some point. It's a drawing I did of my dog Barley. :) The Penny mod is awesome and I use it more than anything right now... but it has some dings now from a misadventure on Mother's Day when we went out to eat with family. My mom put her bag on top of my bag without me realizing it. I hadn't locked the Penny (usually not a problem) and it was firing from the pressure. The smell was what clued us in. I had to run outside with it (good thing we were sitting by an open door to the patio) and drop it on the ground as soon as I had it open because it was so hot it was burning my hands. Both of my hands were blistered from the heat. It could have been a LOT worse and I felt like an idiot for not locking it. It's usually not a problem in my bag (it's in a raised pocket where nothing presses on the bottom) but the pressure from above from my mom's bag was enough to press it down onto something else in my bag and fire it. I was able to polish out most of the damage but it has some small battle scars. So do my hands though :D I have a burn imprint from the Brass Monkey on my palm! I still don't think I want a Kick, I'll just try to not be an idiot and make sure I lock it. It was scary though.

catmomma - yeah, they created a monster here too, I have a Tree of Life on the way. :p

I'm glad you smelled it. I hope your hand heals up without a monkey scar though.

pics of ya'll in a nt thread??? Ah dear, now gotta research sentinel clones now on ft...the tf gt is 23 mm, nemesis is 22 mm-also looking at stingrays, origin, chiyou too now-clones of course-want ss and prefer 23 mm-catmomma, what do you use your tf on? your nem or sentinel?

I'm not her but I use mine on a 23.5 mm ft magneto clone. The one I have is out of stock but they have several variations.

Right at this moment, baseballmom, I have my GT on my Nemmy. It's not great. It has a big gap between the mod and the topper which annoys me, and even though it's only 1mm I can see that it's wider. It's much better on my Sentinel but the GT has a lot of white metal and the Sentinel is brass, and that annoys me. I am an .... picky beyotch when it comes to how the set up looks. The Sentinel M16 is the one I have in brass. I honestly didn't expect much and bought it as a knock-around mod since it was ridiculously cheap. If you don't want brass, then not for you. The other option is aluminum and that isn't as sturdy. I'll link mine anyway just so you can check it out. What I'm eyeballing big time is the Tree of Life. I just need one small excuse to buy it. That is one gorgeous mod. I'll link that one too. The Stingray is nice too. On the Chi-Yous I like the plainer ones. Anyhow, you really can't go wrong with any of the ones you're looking at.

I have a Tree of Life on the way!! Was supposed to get here yesterday but it looks like it will be today. I picked it up from the classies (along with an Orijen dripper) for a good price and will let you know how it is. :)

The Infinite TOL clone (that's the one on FT) was tempting but I couldn't get past the big USA stamped on the bottom. :p From what I hear though it's a good clone.

It is a clone from FT but it's sold out and has been for months. Search Magneto and you will see another SS one with crystals in it or a brass plated one like mine.

I'd link it but I'm mobile and it's not cooperating. Sorry.

Good grief. I read wrong. The one on the right is a Pisces clone from focalecig

Beautiful but it's a polished finish and 22mm so not a good fit for the Taifun. I like it a lot with the kfl though.

Be sure to post pics when you get it. That one has my interest. :)
