Ok, so, I am ready for my 1st best in box...



1st - Apple Jaks by Cyber Liquids
2nd - Trey Trey by Vapor Las Vegas
3rd - Emperor Penguin by vaping Birdy

Tried all of them (obviously), all in the magma, went for Adam Bomb's Creamy Strawberry first this morning. It blew my tastebuds, a massive dollop of strawberry jam (jelly US), not much cream though until my tastebuds had numbed enough to block out the strong strawberry taste. Not really sure about it, it was not as good as Strawnilla (Nicoticket), but it might be a grower.

Emperor Penguin, this is a very creamy vape, nice and subtle melon (I dislike melon btw - it is the cucumber of the fruit world), almost on the cusp of a banana-y flavour. Blends together well and is a decent vape. I was quite surprised that I liked it. Not at all sickly, just a good full flavour.

Apple Jaks, there is something about this juice that makes it addictive (aside from the nicotine I mean). I have never tried or even heard of the cereal that the name comes from, but I think I would like it. At first it sort of hit me with a hint of 'Brut original' aftershave, but not in an unpleasant way (I like that smell), then comes in some cinnamon along with a bit of apple and then the milk. I get a sort of biscuit-y after taste, mixed with a smooth cream. It is confusing, I don't really know what I like about it, but it seems to make me want to vape it.

I did also notice another mistake with my box, the Apple Jaks was 3mg rather than 6mg, not a big deal though. No tester either, but that is to be expected, being new and all. (I did say in my notes I would love to be a tester)

Overall my first box was interesting. Of the 5 that arrived I would happily vape 3, one that might grow on me and one that still smells like lemon washing-up liquid.

Bigaug - any thoughts on the Apple Jaks? (noticed it was in your box too)

I just filled up my tank with the Apple Jaks. I like it. I haven't had Apple Jacks in years, but it tastes pretty close I think. A little more apple would make it better. love the milky flavor in these cereal vapes.

Tried my last bottle tonight. Peaches and Cream. Not really a fan, but its totally vapeable. I just don't think I'm much of a peach guy.

Me too, I did some tweaking for next month but then I saw a new juice on their Instagram that I would love to try. I guess if it's not up soon I can email them. The flavor is called Bali by Vinyl Vapes, and it's a warm clove tobacco. Clove is a hard thing to get right. Most of the times it's a little too pungent and overpowering. I have tried a few and not found anything I like. Like everyone else I'm sorta drifting into fall mode. Warm clove sounds great for that. Hopefully I remember to send them an email, or the subscription page gets fixed so I can add this to my comments.


btw, I love reading everyone's posts about their juices, vape on and post on!!

I didn't get the aftershave taste/smell from my Apple Jaks. Maybe I'm just not as sensitive to it.

Yeah, that must be it. My tastebuds are a bit odd, they seem to be working against me most of the time.

Five Pawns Grandmaster was another problematic juice for me, it reminded me of silage when I vaped it in a dripper.

On a happier note, CV replied to my email over the missing bottle from my box, all is sorted now (they are sending it and a tester). Really happy with that, it is another great example of the superb customer service that Craft Vapery brings to the table. Awesome stuff.

Hello all, I'm back and can taste again! Here we go...

Kayfun Lite V2 wide open air holes 1.4 ohm micro coil on Rayon. 6-10 watts

Skyline - Tasty Cloud. I started this last night and didn't hate it, but didn't like it. Pineapple is a little artificial to me and the Hazelnuts sort of overpower a little. It must have done a bit of a steep overnight in the Kayfun because I've warmed up to it. Decent Pineapple taste, sweet flavor doesn't sux a bit of creaminess on the finish, the Hazelnut stays on my palate for a while . This is a 50/50 pg/vg mix and I am used to super high vg juice, so that may have an impact on what I'm tasting. I think this will benefit from a steep.

Blueberry Waffle - Holy Grail Elixer. Nice Blueberry to start, Maple finish. Not so much Waffle. I'll have to give this some time too.

Trikz - R&D Creations. Tastes like Tricks, decent milk flavor, fruity. I swear there is a cinnamon finish on this. @Faitaccompli did you get this cinnamon or is it just me? So far this is my favorite.

Hard Four - Vapor Las Vegas. Not doing it for me, pretty artificial tasting. Tried this from 4-14 watts and I just don't get Jolly Rancher at all.

Virtue - V4 Vape. Toastedy, Coconut is nice, The Almond is a little rancid tasting for me. Nice sweetness to it. Overall not bad, I think nuts are not my thing in a vape.

NY Cheesecake - Five Star Vape. This is the one I want to love, I've been wanting a good cheesecake and this isn't it for me. The fact that it's pretty bleu cheesy and chemically says let it steep. So I will and then I may love it. Right now ah ah. This one left a red color on my rayon which may explain the taste...

Blackbird - CV. (Tasted this on Cotton as I didn't want to go upstairs for another piece of Rayon.) Sweet without being cloying. The Black Currant is lovely. Kiwi is really subdued. This could have potential for an ADV.

Overall I'm not super happy with this months box. I believe time will help a couple of these and nuts are not my thing in a vape. I added them this month and I will drop them next month. The tester is my favorite of them all! Can I include that in my BOTB? I will retest everything on cotton tomorrow and see if that changes anything. Rayon and I have a love/hate relationship and even though I got my wick right 6 in a row I'll see what cotton does for them.

So I don't often get to quote myself in life, but I have given these guys a week and I'm tasting again. In addition it pulls this thread off the 3rd page...

TOBH on cotton, 1.3 ohm single coil, 27g, huge ID! (I have to use thicker wire with a single coil or my coil moves) regulated VW 10-14 watts, air holes 2/3 open.

Skyline - about the same, much sweeter this round, Pineapple less artificial. Not a bad vape.
Blueberry Waffle - still meh.
Trikz - Lost that cinnamon finish. I really like this one. I could off and on this all day!
Hard Four - I just don't like this. Artificial and not enough candy for me.
Virtue - SO MUCH BETTER. Lost the rancid thing in the nut, sweet, toasty. Not a bad vape.
NY Cheesecake - Better than last week, still a bit funky. Back into the floor safe, I'm gonna let this steep until October and I bet it's ok then.
Blackbird - The sweetness is just perfect, I would still like to see more Kiwi and the Black Currant is still wonderful.

Overall things are better after a week. The Skyline, Virtue and the Cheesecake will benefit from from more steeping. I look forward to trying the V2 on the tester someday. So not as sux as last week, but nothing really stellar (I didn't bother with BOTB this month). I'm hoping the subscription section of the website becomes active again so I can fine tune and give Meriwether some feedback and improve my September box!
